Gazingstarz 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 Moving closer to the finishing lineInstallation of granite top in kitchen Kitchen island - poor workers huff and puff to lay this one big piece. Over to the wet kitchen Left with mounting the kitchen hob. The washing areaLeft with the tap, handles for the top cabinets; we used to have a stainless steel bar and remote removed it So gonna buy another price. Installer suggested to do a L finishing on the left next to the washing machine. This is to prevent water from spillingI did not opt for kitchen top over the washing machine in any case I change to washing machine that might be top load or taller. Gazingstarz 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 So you guys moved out while the Reno is going on? Where do u stay your stuff?I did not renovate one of the bedrooms so we used it to store big bulky items like our tv console, queen sized bed But my family staying at another place for past years and leased out our EM so once our tenant moved out then we renovate. Gazingstarz 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 And finally my world is up (bit not running) It din dawn Upon me that is no gas supply so i,quickly called city has and earliest is fri. I thought I could stop eating packed meals Dining roomJust need to extend the table , set the chairs, remove the plastic on the lights..and we are ready ...Sliding glass panel **** room. This is a mustery to us as throughout the discussion, there is no drawing. Renovator just keep, saying its top track sliding. Initally we had a shock when the installers say it was, completed as seen below So tml should be the final installments ofSetting up master toilet, the washing machine , drill holes to hang whatever is needed. But the mess will prod stay for another month at the balcony. The final final installment should be setting up my gdn which is temporary sitting at the corridor. Gazingstarz 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 Reality vs expectations. I would say 80%Though the laminate wasn't exactly the same, but I'm glad i stick to the theme of white and wood grains And the granite top was a tough choice btw a white solid topDining : it was tough picking yellow, colour from the Nippon paint catelogue. So we went for tangerine which is safer. It carries a strong tint of yellow. I love my dining room ambience (less the current mess)The Venetian blind just blend in well with the dining we and the wall colourCan't wait to put up the white decor I bought. The table runner, the white candle stand, a pot of peach /pink rose bouquet...So a big sigh of relief. Thanks to all who pm me to cheer me on.I'll be still blogging at my own blog and be less frequent on this t-blog. Keep a lookout of my gdn and be most glad to share tips and even plant cuttings And no need to ask me who's my renovator. I won't recommend lest u want a $10k savings in exchange of gek-sim-ism
