Home Sweet Home Feeling

Recommended Posts

hey Nexer, if you don't mind buying online, you can try beds.sg

me and hubby bought 1 from them, queen size + sepora mattress with 5 year warranty, only $300 (free delivery), although it's only a platform bed, no headboard and mattress is firmness rating 4 (i find it abit too soft)..

they do have lots of other designs as well, that are more expensive..

although their delivery guys very forgetful, they delivered the mattress, but forgot to bring the bed :bangwall: :bangwall: :bangwall:

in the end, my delivery time was suppose to be 2pm, 12pm i got the mattress, 7pm then got the bed :curse:

lucky it was Saturday, and we got the bed on that day, or not we sleep on mattress only liao..

then again.. it's still value for money and we will definitely buy again from them :D

p.s: if you think $300 bed is flimsy, let me allay your worries..

the bed is very..... erm... hardy.. if you know what i mean :notti:

After re calculating my budget, has decided to reduce the mattress budget from 2.5k to 1,500.

This means that the the 3 big S are out of consideration.

What are my available options for a queen size bed with a $1,500 budget?

1500 for queen can buy many mattresses. Go courts to try all the brands then choose the one you like. You will be surprise that 1500 can buy quite a lot of options already.

Tats what i was considering too. Hopefully there will be some great year end sale in Nov that i can take advantage of.

Besglas quoted me about $900 for a 2200mm pole system Alumix wardrobe without door, do you all think its worth it?

ce9779d6.jpg

As far as I remember, Besglas offers a relatively good price for these simple configuration, as they are charged by

per item; i.e by no. of shelves, poles used.

Check my Sig under WIW for more elaboration.

Sorry just a quiry, is 2200mm enough for you?

My L-shaped configuration of 2800mm x 1800mm is running low on space liaoz. My personal territory is being risk of

occupied of my wifey :help:

Actually i wont be moving the toilet bowl much, maybe abt 20cm nearer to the inner wall?

Currently the toilet bowl is placed right in the middle of the WC and i cant hack an opening from bathroom to WC. By shifting it to be nearer to the inner wall, i can hack an opening of 500mm to be a linkway.

I get what you mean, something ike what i did. As May_dream suggest, check with the HDB authority for permission first.

(I remembered some forumer successfully reconfigured their WC orientation)

Dunlopilo and Kingcoil offers good quality mattress too. Most mattress companies now offers pocket springs with various comfort layers on the top. Earlier, I was eyeing on Sealy and was swearing at how comfortable it is.

After reading this post The mattress story

More importantly is, remember to bring you and your partner to try out the various mattress Physically,

yes, i mean go and lie down for 5 mins or do, lie by the side/ back/ front.

I'm a back sleeper while my wofe is a side-sleeper. I like soft plush mattress while my wife prefers firm ones.

:sport-smiley-004: I even asked my husband to bounce on it so that you will know if u will wake ur partner up or not. just like they throw bowling ball.

haha, u r rite. dont think 2200mm is enuff for my wtb alone, not to mention including my own clothes. Maybe we will do a L-shape instead.

Ya, got to check with hdb and the plumber on the piping issues.

I guess its time to go bed testing then! :sport-smiley-004:
