Abazzza 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2012 Dear all,Recently my house tiles has dislogded and I get HDB to replace. During this process, there were a lot of heat up with the HDB officer as it seem like she is siding the contractor.First it causes inconvenice for me my wife, as she is currently 8 months pregnant. And she tell us she is replacing the tiles for us out of good will and we can't claim from HDB for any lodging. We are fine, as long as house can be done before the baby is out. After completed, when we inspected the house, all my wall above the skirting was cover with uneven or "anyhow" splashed cement, some thick and some totally out from no where. When I ask them to clean it, the contractor can tell me, is already dry how to clean? And my reply was, if u know it's dry and u can't clean it y don't u clean it when it's wet? The contractor also broke one of my common toilet tiles while hacking the skirting, hdb officer trying to ask me to accept? I really can't believe it. Of course is no. Either he replace the broken tile with matching color or he have to change the whole stretch. The contractor agrees. Lastly, I just realized the that all my new tiles has a layer of water mark that can only be seen after the light at a certain angle. At first thought my maid did not dry the floor after she mop, but when I tried to wipe it, it did not go off. I am really tired dealing with HDB and their contractor, can anyone advise what is this mark, and how can I remove it? It's on every piece of tiles ... I have tried using turpentine and spirit, but all helpless.
