whitehousey 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2012 Now I need some help from you reno/house geniuses out there. 1) My wireless internet transmitter is not powerful enough to reach my masterbed room.I know you can purchase a booster from places like DealExtreme.com or Mertiline.com but a friend of ours got one from there and it didn't work. Any suggestions?2) Also, there are so many cables behind our TV console! I love cleaning the house but that the one place I don't dare vacuum. How should I tidy up the cables? BTW, aren't the daisies beautiful.
MamaO 1 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 ya, he loves silestone and ceasarstone a lot a lot i also think that joint lines re greater eyesore. let's say 5 years later, really so badly stained, i am ok to polish it or else, just replace the whole thing loh.... 2 times using LG /samsung is cheaper than 1 time of quartz. heheheh Seeing this, then i realise that solid top could be polish? May i know Polish is for stained, turned yellowish and even scratches?
May_dream1 14 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 Seeing this, then i realise that solid top could be polish? May i know Polish is for stained, turned yellowish and even scratches? The polish is basically remove 1-2mm of the solid top. So minor scratches, stained or turn yellowish should be able to remove. Our ID recommended LG Hi-Macs which I learnt from this forum is slightly more expensive then normal solid tops. Is there a justifiable difference, like is it more temperature tolerant or easier to clean? At the moment I'm very careful with hot stuff on the counter and always use the cork mats which can be a bit of a hassle at time(especially when they spill). LG have 100% acrylic and of better quality too so more tolerant to scratches and stains. and i think would be more temp tolerant.

whitehousey 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 Thanks May and Casa. Yeah I'm just not sure of the differnce between normal solid surface and Hi-macs. So thank you for explaining May. Silestone was an option and we really wanted it. But our kitchen has 32 feet of counter top... That would cost $4k more!! May be in our next house la. haha. MamaO 1 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 our new clock!and a close up of our eubiq track. Notice that your track is on the top instead of the wall. any reason for this? Isnt usually on the wall? Which is better? If we use eubiq and have alot of cables, will it look messy with lot of cable on it?

Ppl choose Quartz other Granite is cos Granite has the joining line? but in terms of the charactise is the same right?
May_dream1 14 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 Ppl choose Quartz other Granite is cos Granite has the joining line? but in terms of the charactise is the same right?quartz also have joint lines. granite is different stones from quartz. just like diamond is different stone from ruby. granite still stains as its porous like marble. quartz are non porous. and granite do not have white, there are not natural white granite, but quartz have. and for scratches, granite is softer so easier to scratch, quartz are harder.
