Hi Potatoes n Jaskel, good morning to both of u.

Thanks for de kind remarks. I'll try to post pictures here.. Still figuring tt out..

COV was manageable for me, cos I'm non-Chinese. My seller was also non-Chinese. So COV was 55K only... Heng ah!!!! The house was so well done we paid de deposit on de spot!! Hehe.. It was a steal, really!

We'll be renovating de kitchen, kitchen toilet n balcony only. I'm asking a designer friend to help us out... Very excited ...

I've learnt so much from fellow forumers here. 😍😍

It's really a steal! Must be your good negotiation power, look forward to your photos!

Hi cleong,

None of de walls were hacked, we don't intend to hack a well... Keeping tt room as play room for my kids...

I wanted MIL to stay there.. But hubby feels she'll feel isolated... So he wants her to stay up in my daughter's room. I think she'll have problems climbing up n down.. Only time can address tis issue... It's pretty sensitive now..

We intended to keep the staircase... It's ceramic off-white tiles n nyatoh hand rails, but it's so shakey, n worst of all my 1+ yr old child can squeeze her head thru de railing on de top floor. That's when we decided to redo the stairs...

Anyone can advise a very affordable & stylish railing n steps idea?? my plan was to overly de top wid timber n tempered glass railing wid timber top.. But the price is kinda steep...

Wat stairs do families wid kids have? Any pictures to show old?

The house was well-maintained .. De 1st level flooring is marble .. From stairs to 2nd level, it's Matt ceramic tiles. Tis is like 15 years old or older...

L box n false ceilings were done 2 yrs ago.. Wid LED down lights... Built in wardrobes were done in all de 3 rooms upstairs. MBR has bathtub s well...

We were so excited, we grabbed it immediately.

Your EM valuation is high coz of location..... 200k to 250k higher than in some other places like HG, SG or WLDs.

Buying a renovated place has its advantage as one can spend less on reno. However, my wife feels that buying it would mean that the design is not our own.... She prefers to have our own design :)

Actually, for me i dont mind as long as I like the previous owner design and feels good.

Ur right.. De previous owner didn't do anything fanciful, except for a customized tv console. given tt our budget is low, we'll live with it for now.

We don't intend to sell it in de future, my plan is to re-Reno in de future fancifully. Now what $$ we have, we want to keep it s we have 2 young kids..

Can someone teach me how to upload pics? I go to imageshack.us n it asks for email Id to register... I have not registered before ... 😔😞

Photobucket is what I used in uploading. Follow the instruction on the 1st page of the RT forum. Try it, u will soon get the hang of it. Cheers!
