Our Em In Bishan

We've just bought an EM in Bishan. We collected keys last week... So excited...

The house is well maintained, previous Reno was done just less than 2 yrs ago..

However we need to Reno de kitchen, kitchen toilet n balcony!! These 3 places r very outdated compared to de rest of de house..

I'll try to post pictures... Trying these out on my own for de first time.. 😁😁

Hi petalfruit, great to meet another EM friend in this forum. I used to stay in a condo near Bishan and love the place there .... Near street 22. Your place is very convenient as it is very near Bus interchange and MRT Station with plenty of amenities.

U certainly made the right choice. The previous owner renovated the place only 2yrs ago.... I believe they would also tag a high COV when they sell it to u. Do post pics of ur current place:)

COV was manageable for me, cos I'm non-Chinese. My seller was also non-Chinese. So COV was 55K only... Heng ah!!!! The house was so well done we paid de deposit on de spot!! Hehe.. It was a steal, really!

We'll be renovating de kitchen, kitchen toilet n balcony only. I'm asking a designer friend to help us out... Very excited ...

Based on your family unit, I suggest you allocate your elderly the study/room downstairs (next to the front door). That is assuming that it hasn't been hacked away. Have a toilet at the kitchen so that its not necessary to use the staircase. Make sure the staircase has handrails for the kids, maybe a gate at the bottom or top could be used if you don't feel that they can be trusted to use the staircase safely...
