Recommended Posts

Im confuse on the heater switch connection part

Am i correct to say that the heater switch 6 holes.. The L1 , 1 and ground is for your incoming power wires and the L2 , 2 and the ground is for your heater 3 wires? So all 6 wires cones into the switch then the switch acts like a joining center?

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

the heater switch you had mention in your first post.

Sometime, it is much more easy to discuss especially this is electrical wiring.

One wrong wiring, who know what will happen

Hi, I am planning to change from legrand to timer switch but confused with the connection part. In the picture there are code 1 (top left) and 2 (top right) and L1 (bottom left) and L2 (bottom right).

Am I correct? Please help. Thanks

L1 = L1 (input)
L2 = N1 (input)
1 = L2 (output)
2 = N2 (output)

L stand for live wire. which is either brown or white colour. N stand for neutral. which is either in black or blue. earth is in green mix with yellow colour. None of them should connect together. You better get a licen electrician to do it. by law

What type of timer switch are you using? Most that I have come across are not double pole type. Most are single pole.

Can you show a picture of the timer switch both front and back. If possible, show also the wiring diagram if it comes with the timer switch.

Good.

Yes, I installed the same one as you but took it out after one day because the mechanical timer is so noisy. I cannot take it.

I believe it will definitely save $$ especially if you have kids and they don't turn off the heater.
