Cost For Reinstall Back Wiring

After hacking the whole kitchen and master room toilet, the exposed wires looked quite OK, so decided to keep using them without changing.

However, contractor still charged me $300 for "reinstall back all wiring with new trunking in kitchen" and $180 for "reinstall back all wiring in toilet".

Is this charge reasonable?

I seldom see ppl here talk about charges for reinstall wire....

This is the dangling wire the contractor charged 300 to reinstall. Is it normal to have wire dangling like this when hacking?

Or They accidentally damaged the truncking when hacking the wall?
