Yes, that plot of land is so huge that your voice actually echos! May God bless that land so that it remains unoccupied forever :P

Btw, PinkPluck, are you related to Pinkflowers?

Eh. Pinkflowers? No... :sport-smiley-018:

Hi, how much did you pay for this new roof?

Just curious, how come the end of the roof (where the rusty flashing is) is higher? So the water collected on this roof flows back towards the house?

I paid about $3k. Roof flows back because there is a gutter at the inner edge that leads to a drainage piping.

I see, that's what I thought so, $3k for metal roof with insulation is good price.

Dude, sorry I forgot. 3k was without insulation materials. With insulation, is about 3.8k. Highest quote I got was 5.8k from a contractor who tried to con me into paying more for sound proofing!

I've always wondered...where do the workers do their "business" during the reno since everything is hacked and not usable???

You don't have a portaloo at your reno site? Our workers have a portaloo to use.

Yes, that's what i thought, $3k was too good, but still, $3.8k with insulation is also good price.

But if given a choice, i would design and install not to flow back to the gutter, in fact do away with it, too much problem with gutter -leave stuck, stagnant water, mosquito breeding, overflow etc

Day 17 (23 Aug 2012)

Slow day today. Not much going on. Tiling for living room continues at a good pace. MBR toilet floor also completed. Roofing guys were there to replace the rusty flashings but not sure were they completed or not because they covered up with canvas.

Living room tiling continues
