Day 22 (29 Aug 2012)

Just noticed something today. From the MBR toilet skylight, I can see some parts of the flashing. Very ugly :bleah::furious::jawdrop:

Need to get the false ceiling guys to cover up that portion so that the flashing is hidden.

Look mum, no cockroaches! And there's really not a single roach when they opened up the manhole.

We thought for a very long time. But they were really very authentic. Had over 20 different running tones so that it doesn't look so repetitive. Surface also feels like wood. I can show you if you want to. Just drop by my place.

The tiles looks nice. May I know which country is this tile from?

I've observed a very :thumbs up: trait of my tilers today, but I dunno if this is the industry practice. Whenever they want to walk on the tiles which have already been laid, they will take off their slippers, ie they walk barefoot. I believed it is to prevent damage to the tiles until they can apply the grouting and cover them up with the protection materials.

while me, the owner, walks on them in my shoes!!! So paiseh 8|

haha...

Day 24 (31 Aug 2012)

Tilers came in to complete the last bit at the drainage area. I'd wanted to buy them dinner today but they declined. So I bought lunch for them instead :yamseng: Nasi Ayam Penyet and Cheng Tng from the nearby Bedok food centre.

Somebody from Wall Story also came down and took down measurements for our wallpaper requirements. We are going to need 4 rolls! Thereafter we will need to confirm the paint colours so that the painters can start work on the painting portion.

Met a neighbour this morning who was the first owner of his property till today. He gave me a short history of my house and no. of owners before me... ;)
