Valerie Low 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2012 After much delay, finally the DIY brick wall has been startedWe used 2 types of glue: Maxbond & Builder... glues. We prefer the later one as it dries faster, so no need to hold the tiles and wait for it to be dried. But you have to be fast though =) Our progress so far... We could not find the wood spacer to put in the gaps, hence used some rolled paper from magazine. It works well too!Hopefully we can finish it next weekend. Will post the updates then Omg, how did you DIY the brick wall? Can share the steps and material needed?

salad 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2012 Hi,You laminate flooring the living room and bedrooms except the kitchen?Did you knock/hack anything before laminating? (floor or side of wall)About how much costing saving by your laminated flooring, you think? thanks.Hi natural9,Yes we installed laminate floor for the whole living room + 2 bedrooms, except kitchen. The laminate contractor will need to hack away the skirting at the side of the wall to install the wood skirting (especially since our original floor is terrazzo, the original skirting is curve and not straight).Cost wise, laminate floor is about half price of tiling. And we love the cozy feeling of the laminate floor. We can lie on the floor directly, not too cold nor too hot.Hope it helps and all the best with your reno process
