Nice squarish layout, you won't get that with the new flats now.

If I may suggest, why not knock the walls off the store and enlarge both bedrooms. You could reposition the door frames for both to face the living and you'd have much bigger bedrooms.

i did thought of that but i do need a storeroom, so any suggestions where i could build it? i wld like to hack the study room n build it somewhere else but i do not know where is a better idea.

Hi, I saw that you found my post too haha.. Yep our houses are really mirror image, but yours seems more well maintained than mine. Is yours the top floor unit too? I find the ceilings not that high for a top floor unit, somemore we are going to put false ceilings.. I think I jump abit can touch the ceiling already. Will post updates on my thread, so feel free to take a look.. although my reno progress is quite slow haha..

as much as i hope to share pictures but am simply too lazy to upload into photobucket...

at this point, our tiled flooring and plastering are completed. Windows all changed to casement. Electrical works followed by painting will be carried out this week.

Things we have bought

1) Lights and switches from JB Best Lights

2) Artichoke lamp from Taobao

3) Kitchen sink faucet, 2 sets of rainshower system from wholesalefaucet.com

4) bathrooms basins, WC, taps from GR link-Jalan Besar

5) Crestar fan(matt black) with light from a shop in Hougang

6) Fujioh hod, hood, Bosch oven, Joven storage heater, Samsung fridge from SBH

7) Dining table, chairs, sofa from Hommage

That's the bulk of our purchase!

We will be having quite a lot of "features" in this house namely

1) HERF (markham oak medium) for recess balcony (eagerly anticipating how it will turn out)

2) sliding chalkboard door for study room

3) chalkboard wall in the kitchen

4) bronze mirror at dining area (i hope the artichoke lamp reflected in the mirror) will look very nice!!

5) platform in MBR

6) mirror pd door for MBR toilet

7) gold basin and gold mosaic in MBR toilet

can't wait to see how all these will turn out :)

oh and

8) mirror and black glass door for our 10 feet wardrobe in MBR! the mirrors are used in hoping to visually expand the space in the cramped room!
