Nowadays lots of contractors claim themselves to be IDs, but they're just contractors. The main difference is that IDs are very creative in design, therefore their quotation is also expensive even though they say consultation is free of charge.

If you're not going to build a palace, just go for contractors. They've done a lot of projects, so they have experience too. You can meet IDs to get ideas and engage contractors to do it. That's how we can have a nice place at low cost.

PM me for a list of recommended IDs that I got from this forum (I met every of them and found out those IDs are not really IDs, more like contractors).

I also know some good contractors to recommend if you're interested.

I just renovated my place with a contractor I suppose thats the term for them, but these guys have their own carpentry workshop, they design and renovate. good price i must say. I must say young contractors now have a good flair in design and more over they are cheaper then some over price design house.

Very nice and honest guy. Will tell you what is worth to do and what is not. Can always sms him for meet up or email him with floorplan and your idea to discuss of your plan for renovation.

Had used him for my house renovation, a well mannered person and not those ah beng type of contractor, he specialist in doing private condo & landed property and also give very modern yet simple and very classic idea. Mine is a HDB 3rm flat but he gave me lots of idea of how those high end renovation can be done yet is still simple, neat and classic~!

Resolve problem within 3-4days if there is problem spotted.

Just mention Renotalk forum or Goobii and he will know what to do and how to advise you and help out. Is easier to email him with floorplan before meet up.
