cteckwee 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2012 Hi all, I realized that there are some IDs (from the frontpage of Renotalk) that are having promotion for 20ft kitchen cabinet. The price is around $1k++ to $1.3k++. Are the promotions too good to be true? My ID quoted me $3690 for 26ft kitchen cabinet. This includes top and bottom (all with soft closing hinges) 13ft each, 13ft solid surface work top, to box-up sewerage piping and install kitchen sink. My ID told me that it is almost impossible to make the price below $2k as it would be lower than his cost. Can anyone advise if my ID's quotation is too expensive? Can anyone advise if my ID's quotation is too expensive?Their 20ft is top 10ft and bottom 10ft, so basically is 10ft top and bottom. Usually they use the cheapest hollow plywood with the cheapest laminates and internal carcass is make of cheap pvc.I'm unable to advice if your ID quote is expensive or cheap without looking at their workmanship and knowing the materials use to make your cabinet. If compare to mine (20ft kitchen cabinet (top & bottom) comes with Blum lift-up system, Blum internal drawers, Blum orga-line trays, Hettich drawer system, Hettich hinges and 16ft of CaesarStone for $10,000), your quote is very cheap. cteckwee 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2012 Hmm, my bad....my ID only provide me Blum soft closing hinges, but not the lift-up system (only normal hydraulic) and drawer.
taichipanda 3 Report post Posted May 28, 2012 Hmm, my bad....my ID only provide me Blum soft closing hinges, but not the lift-up system (only normal hydraulic) and drawer. Dont be sad... If you expect all Blum hardware (hinges, lift up systems, inner drawers, standard drawers, orga-line trays, servo-drive), then be prepare to pay more, a lot more if use automated servo-drive.
