Brought this basket to the new house for the carpenters to measure for the wardrobe. I had 6 of them and I brought one over.

They promptly lost it... When I went over the next day, the basket wasn't there anymore. Of course I would assume that the carpenters took it to measure. But later the carpenters said they measured on the spot and did not take it back with them.

The rest of the contractors denied seeing it... Now I have an odd number of baskets with the wardrobe already fabricated... :furious:

Hi everyone,

So sorry all, this is a repost of my topic of the same name as something went wrong with my profile.

This is my first posting in RT and its for my new home, a 3I HDB, see floor plan below. Decided to post here to leave behind a journal of the renovation process.

Decided to sell my 5I HDB in Yew Tee. Too inconvenient there, both the lack of decent food and transportation. Right after selling my place I started hunting for my new place, criteria being as close to the city as possible.

Lo and behold, the first unit I viewed is right smack in the middle of the city!

Chop, stamp, confirm!

Nice pearly sheen for the kitchen tiles. I didn't like the idea of plastering although my ID said that's what everyone is doing.

This is also the point the where the new kitchen starts.

Changing the window grilles to something lighter and brighter.

Rubbish chute door changed. I like the walls... :dribble:

It is not, its a metal of some sort, cast iron? The original pipes from the 70s...

Anyway, it will be boxed up and never be seen again...

My advise is to change it into the PVC pipe then u box it up.... .... Those 70's cast iron pipe will rust, crack and leak, and foul smell :jawdrop: it will be really a nightmare to tear down your box up and change. $$$$$$

Shower screen. Was discussing with the contractor the virtue of a sliding door vs a swing door.

A sliding door's frame will eat into my showering area, while the swing door is a little dangerous in such a small tight space. So decided on the sliding instead for safety. Anyway, it doesn't look too bad at the moment.
