Subwoofer on the foam

309odqr.jpg

bro, can you share where you buy the "gold/bronze" MK socket? Any advantage of this socket compare to normal socket?

Gold plated socket, supposes to last longer than usual normal plastic socket. It also looked nicer in my sense. Haha...

Very nice..... I can imagine how tired you are....

A question, is this table from Franc Franc? Very nice..

U got your Mini locally? Because the last time I go, Jimmy told me only got red color.

I think you need a nice chair for your study table. How about this?

Envy your NAS setup. I always wanted to set up a NAS to store all my nice nice stuff but I can't bare to spend $1k just on the casing alone. So I got a few external HD. And yesterday I just bought a 3TB HD for my pc... no space already.. :bleah:

Yup, table from Franc Franc, bought it when the their sales started. Yup, got my white mini locally from Aldephi, itchy backside, went and audition Mini while I'm there to buy Audioengine 5+ :bleah:

8| 8| I was considering whether to import Herman miller chair from Amazon :notti: I got 2 spare chairs at my folks' place, lazy to bring over. Looked similar like Herman, of cos quality not as good Herman though each cost @600-800 range. Cant rem...

I have not setup my mini because I yet to buy speaker cable because I do not like stock cables & banana plugs come with.

Can consider Chord or QED XT if you itchy to change :notti: 10% of your cost to system.

I thought you are using iMac system? Or you are using mac display? :dunno: You should try pure DAC :notti:

I bought this because I do wish to have another powered DAC so I went for USB powered DAC.

I would say it is 1 time off purchase, save you pretty much lot of times to house keep the files when your library expanded.

Also, with raid5 on your NAS, redundancy in place to avoid data lost. Why setup the NAS when you had faced data lost, so do it when nothing had happens!

4 bays relatively still below 1k tag, 5 bays would be 1.4k+- tag. Can try Amazon, quite cheap buying off from there. I bought mine from Memoryworld for my 5 bays because of 3 years warranty.

If I remembered correctly, 4 bays is 2 years & 1/2 bays @1 year. Also, go for WD raid hdd, quite good.

For the Herman Miller chair, there is a guy bringing in from USA. U may wanna take a look.

I did think of importing it myself. But the shipping cost is scary and in the end did not save much.

http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/mass-order-corner-251/mo-herman-miller-premium-chairs-pictures-included-3193149.html

I also looking at Chord cables in Amazon UK and they are pretty cheap. But I got no way to bring back from UK. U got lobang locally for Chord?

I use Apple display with a DIY PC. I like the monitor but I also want to play the latest PC games. SO I DIY.

For the NAS, I got to save up first... Maybe wait for 4TB harddisk's price to drop then get it all at one go!! :dribble: :dribble:

I'm aware of the HWZ MO, will try when times is ripe. :sport-smiley-004: :sport-smiley-004:

Try Seng Heng electrical trading @ Aldephi. Chord & QED are available there. Can use Borderlinx to ship back, they provides UK address.

Now I know why you got messy wires, I thought was from your wife's setup. :bangwall: :bangwall:

No point waiting for 4TB, too expensive, 1 pc can buy 2 pcs of 3TB. Go for 3TB, worth buying now. Rem, buy it when you need it.

For the NAS, if you are heading 5 bays, can buy 3 pcs of hdd to do raid 5. Thats miminum.

No la.. Probably just get some cable organizer. Not much space under the table. :D :D

For the NAS I will prob get 4 or 5 bays. Let's see what are the options when I have saved enough money... :notti: :notti:

Can consider this for? Belkin C-Series 8-Socket Concealed Surge Protector

If you forsee that you will expand further, get 5 bays, because it allows you to buy additional 5 bays expansion :notti: :notti: I had expanded 1, left 1 to go. :sport-smiley-018:

I did some research on speaker cable, can consider chord company carnival Silverscreen for speaker cable. Any series above this seems overkill. Seems to have good reviews and wont turned your music bright.

Checked out locally, for 3m terminated with chord vee banana plug, $90 for 1 pair. Maybe we can share since aktimate mini needs 1 pc only.

Also, if you are looking for RCA interconnect, can consider Chord crimson plus, $90 for 1m.

$90? That is cheap. How is it so cheap? Cos Amazon UK is selling for 53.75 pounds. :dunno: :dunno: Where to buy that? I don't mind sharing.

A stupid question. Is that 2 pcs of 3m with banana plug? :dribble:
