Solid surface don't have the colour you wanted?

Ya. I also don't like the joint line and I am ok with solid surface so far.

I mean iquartz don't have the pure white.

I prefer joint line to stain discoloration, scratches and melt/burn mark. Good luck to your island, great care needed for prevention and maintenance if use solid surface like acrylic or acrylic mix.

Ask thedottyness about the demo i did on my quartz this morning; if on solid surface the owner sure cry.

Share leh, what did you demo. How about you take a video of your demo and post it in youtube for us to see leh.

Unless you use quartz, i guaranty your full acrylic will become eye sore in 5 years time no matter how you take care cos my previous counter top was off white, after 5 years it has become cream color. Dark soy sauce also can stain it, red wine too. Not only hot pot cannot be place directly on it, warm pot also cant. It's a magnet for all kind of stain, scratch and heat.

My demo very simple, take your kitchen knife and use the pointed tip to scratch your counter top to see if you can see the damage boh.

Ur helper good in house work? Mine is ok but still can't maintain my granite very well so no more granite this time round too. Scratches on acrylic surfaces can happen easily.. My mum is using acrylic - she complains that even some decorative metal tissue box can scratch it.

However, I must stress that scratches on light acrylic surface is not easy to be seen unless u scrutinize it la! Stains........ Of course is another story all together.

i just wipe off the dark soy sauce from the quartz with a kitchen towel partially soaked with some tap water. No stain at all, not even a shadow.

Wood flooring! i would like that in my future home too. The feeling of stepping and walking on wood flooring is simply... different. And amazing. Brings in a warm and cozy homy feel as well.

The progress looks good. Hope to hear from you Denimart! Upload more pics on the flooring. I believed it should be finished already, hor?

Have a smooth reno journey! Have fun!

Cheers,

Mike
