Hacking Vs Overlaying Of Tiles For Kitchen

Recommended Posts

Hi

I just went through the HBD major upgrading and thought that I might as well get a new kitchen cabinet and change my floor tiles. I don't want to go through that nightmare again and am considering overlaying instead of hacking.

My flat is about 30 years old. I have been hearing conflicting opinions. Some said to hack and some said that overlaying is okay if the tiles are not hollow and the job is done well.

Does anyone know of a contractor who is good at overlaying? Would appreciate any help. Thanks very much.

Cheers

i think overlaying is better coz if the waterproofing is not done well, esp for OLD flats. You will kenna the neighbours downstairs complaining of leaking ceiling. then jialat.. u will have lots of problems dealing with it.
