hee i like grey too! but i also like many other colors like turquoise..but settled on grey since it goes well with white.. :D

i got my air-con from Hong Liang at Alexandra..mitsubishi inverter system 4..it was $3,950 with upgrades of pipes/insulation with 9,9,9,24bts configuration..pricing is pretty good as BD/HV quoted around $5k for the same..do not dare to go to gain city after all the horror stories, and it's more expensive ay..

Haha I love turquoise too... Tiffany blue!

Did u compare hong liang's price to K's?

N haha ur husband is funny! Yeah lah a tad cheesy, but it's sweet of him, isn't it? Hurhur. I'm planning to mix diff sized frames behind my couch but not sure if it's a gd idea cos that's where my brick wall will be. The thought of drilling holes in it makes me nervous heh

wow we really have similar tastes! i'm quite crazy abt tiffany blue and anything in that shade attracts me.. :dribble:

haha we've not decided on the photo wall la.. not very sure that the heart shape goes with our theme.. haha! :P

yea drilling the brick wall doesn't sound like a good idea..i'm drilling mine to mount the tv but well..maybe u can do it at the dining area instead? then again, it should be stunning on the brick wall..

i didn't ask k for a quote..he did mention that he can ask we're interested..at first we wanted installments and went to HN/BD but asked Hong Liang since we were on the way to Ikea..who knows, the price differed by so much and it's ridiculous to pay 1k more for installments..so we just got it from Hong Liang..

Hi, the sofa is exactly what I wanted to get! The sofa looks very much like one of the designs Air Division had. Even the dining set looks like Air's style. Could you share which shop in Furniture mall you found these? thanks!

Shopping.

We went shopping at the furniture mall today, in hopes of finding the perfect bed and buying the sofa.

This was the first thing I fell in love with - so cute! I'm so going to get one of these to hold my tissues.

And the second thing I fell in love was this. It was really love at first sight. Everything was right. From the legs, to the dimensions, to the color and comfort. It totally goes with my theme. :jawdrop:

I went with the intention to choose my Wynn sofa fabric and order the sofa. But after seeing this, Wynn's sofa just looked...boring. It's just me, I've been looking for THE sofa but was resigned with getting something ordinary as I prefer something comfortable. While mid-century sofas are beautiful, they usually don't look comfortable to lounge in. In short, I bought it and forfeited my Wynn deposit. It was on promotion and only cost $990 with detachable covers. Even when I add my Wynn deposit as a cost, my sofa cost $1290 vs Wynn's $2380. Though I lost my $300 deposit, I still felt like I 'saved' $1,000.

Anyone who wants to get Wynn's sofa and would like to buy over my deposit? I'm willing to let of my $300 go at half-price. :P

The third thing I feel in love with today is this bench for my dining table. I've been looking for benches with such legs to go with my dining table, and almost took the plunge to custom-make one from Lorgans. This is less than half-price of what Lorgan's cost. 165cm for $399.

By the way, this is my dining table.

And this is my sideboard to be place opposite my brick wall and opposite my dining table.

We've also bought a 46" Samsung Full HD-3D-Smart Tv (whatever that means) 6600 for $2499 at Courts promotion today. Free Samsung 7.0 Tab. The husband spent like 45 minutes talking to the sales guy about TV while I looked at every single thing in Courts. ;)

With this, we've bought almost 90% of the living room furniture and I'm really pleased because I love every single piece and think that it goes well with my theme. Affordable too!

Week 2 concluded..cont

7526895756_ca707b7571_z.jpg

I chose grey for the MBR as I like to sleep in absolute darkness. It looks a shade darker than what the catalog shows, but it's alright I suppose.

Hi itsybits,

do you mind sharing the color code of your MBR walls? thanks for much.....i need to get some to re-color my study room this weekend...... :yamseng:

Thanks! Would check that out. So did you find your bed subsequently? I thought White Wood has something like this, but not sure of the pricing.

Could you pm your contractor contact to me too? I like post modern mid century style too. So far, I've only spoken to one ID recommended by forumers, but beyond my budget, and seems like his style is more of contemporary.

thanks!

perfect....thanks. unlike most nippon colors, the color in real application and catalog is a perfect match.

i kind of think the application is a shade darker.. :P maybe it's the reflection of the catalog..i like it though..

We haven't found a bed! We need a king-sized one with a straight headboard..i think the one we saw in white woods had a curved headboard or the something which we didn't like..

will pm u my contractor..he also did paloma and pinkwhale's place..the IDs i spoke to were quite abit more expensive than contractors..so maybe u can get a few quotes to compare..i guess contemporary is still more popular.. :P and sometimes it's hard to trust IDs to get the feel i want when the whole portfolio i see is contemporary and exactly what i did not want.. ;) IDs who could achieve what I want, I cannot afford.. :bangwall:

Hi,

Can you PM me K's contact as well please?

Thank you

PM-ed

Great choice of furniture! :D

Can't wait to see it all in place.

Hi, I'm also from Casa. Now having aircon problem...

Could you advise how your contractor got the Mitsubishi inverter sys 4 out of MBR aircon window?

One aircon contractor insists that even Mitsubishi/Daikin sys 3 cannot go out of the window due to opening height....(mine is about 69cmH)

I don't really want to get non-inverters or system 2 or other brands.

Any info/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! Hope you find your dream bed soon. I saw one at Grafunkt, can't remember if the headboard is straight or curved, they had one without headboard. But I was trying not to react too much when they told me the price tag.

I don't understand why so hard to find nice and affordable beds in Singapore. the ones that usually come with the mattresses usually so ugly. I like the classic looking headboard like these and these. but I gave up trying to find in Singapore. Even if I find it, its going to cost a bomb.

:)

thanks for the pm on the contractor. Hope your carpentry issues get resolved soon.

Yes it can be done, that is dismantle the compressor unit cover(top, side, bottom) den squeeze into the A/C ledge

After the tech will put back everything :sport-smiley-004:

This is what I saw and hear from the tech guy fron gain city told me.

For me I don't think I'll do it
