Love Nest @ Casa

Recommended Posts

I've read many of these T-blogs here and have gathered lots of useful information about renovation here! I'm now embarking on my own renovation journey, but have not decided on a contractor to engage.

We were very lucky, managed to get a pretty good unit at Casa Clementi on our first try. As I spent a year studying in Sweden and really liked how cosy yet stylish the Swedish homes are, I have decided to design my home to look like them. I've met with a few IDs but their designs are very 'standard' and modern, which I find really impersonal. None of them seem to get my Scandinavian style, yet to my surprise, there are quite a few Scandinavian inspired homes here!

I'm still sourcing for good contractors at reasonable prices, and hope to start with renovations by June. =)

Hi itsybits,

my new place is at Clementi too, but not Casa. I've found my ID & in midst of my reno process, was torn between Minimalist or Scandivania initially, now i guess i just let my ID to design the best she can for me :D Hope to see your reno soon :yamseng:

The door opens up to the sink, and you are definitely going to bomb your elbow into the wall while brushing your teeth! Otherwise you need to close the door. Really horrible design.

Have been meeting up with IDs and repeating my designs again and again. It's a very tiring process and we still can't seem to find a suitable ID. :angry2: despite relatively straightforward works, we are still quoted way beyond budget. :jawdrop: The only one which is near our budget does not seem to be reliable. So we've started to search for a contractor instead, since we were very sure what designs we wanted. It's a fight against time, because we intend to start renovation by June to complete it before the 7th month! ;)

Hi! Nice unit you have! The view is great too! What's your reno budget like? We are also sourcing for IDs but the budget given to us are way beyond what we gave. Thinking of going for contractors but worried if contractors would understand what we want + whether it would be tiring not to have a project coordinator for our reno.. What do you think?

Will be following your T-blog!

Hey! have you started your reno? are u fr case too? do share any info! i'm still looking meeting contractors and hopefully decide on one to.

ay, wads the color of ur flooring? i love it tt many scandinavian houses have wooden flooring everywhere including kitchen. some of the wood are also white or blond. but everyone have advised me against having wooden flooring in the kitchen..! not even bamboo. ;)

now i'm thinking of either white or those homogeneous tiles which look like wood and i still can't decide. we're having an open concept kitchen and want the same flooring for kitchen and living room.
