Can Put Mirror On (Outside) Kitchen Door

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My dining area is very small.

I intend to install a big mirror on the kitchen door and its wall (outside of the kitchen) to make the dining room look lager and brighter. Is it ok in fengshui?

Please advise, thanks,

Michele

Making the area brighter is definitely a good idea.

With my humble knowledge in classical FS, I am not too concern as to where mirrors are placed. Go ahead with your plan! :sport-smiley-004:

Thanks, you are the only one who replied my question :)

My concern is the mirror can 'kick' the good away from the kitchen where is considered as good place.

As I know, mirror can be hang on (outside) of toilet door to keep the good away from toilet where it can be flushed away :)

Interesting. What if the kitchen is bad. Mirror then can kick away the bad correct?

But kitchen is the place to prepare/cook food, food = nutrition , energy... so it can't be a 'bad' place :)

Anyway it's just my thought. Please share with me your experience or advise in term of fengshui if possible

Mirrors reflect light and are placed for practicality and aesthetics.

Do you go to the kitchen at night? Probably to get a drink or something?

The dim light reflected can cast your shadow, making you think someone else is in the dining room..

Or what if you are in a disarray and you suddenly thought you saw a ghost when it's actually yourself..

Possibilities are endless.

Not sure about you, but I sure won't want to scare myself in the middle of the night.

Precisely stated.

I got the "shock" in vietnam hotel b4, I know its "power".

Previous house got 2 big mirrors(8x6ft +8x6ft), present house "reduced" to ONLY (12 x 5 or 6 ft)one pc, no "shocks" so far. I love those mirrors - practicality & aesthetics.

Learn from me....tie up hair and put generously SK2 before sleep. How to shock when the one in the mirror so pretty!
