Our Mini 3-Room Humble House

When we decided to spend the rest of our lives together, we know we need a house to call our own. In the beginning of 2012 we started looking out for flats, we first started looking at Jurong East & Jurong West areas bcoz we wanted to stay near our parents. But none of the flats met our criteria due either to the layout or sellers asking crazily high COV that doesn't justified to the condition of the house. We looked further into Clementi & by end of March 2012, we found the unit that suited us, we placed the option fee on the first viewing.

On 9th April we exercised the OTP, and now waiting for our first appointment in June.

Any reviews on the floor plan? We are hacking off the storeroom to build a WIW

Our evening & weekends are burnt meeting ID/Contractors & our wedding stuffs. We've found one recommended by a nice forumer here. "Thank You" (if u r reading our T-Blog) This ID is nice to help us on savings and meet our budget as she understands our situation coz we having also having our wedding at the same time.

Being tight in our reno budget, there are some things we need to sacrifice for home, we gotta let go the Build-in feature wall, Build-in shoe cabinet, Platform in our Master bedroom, Sliding Glass door for kitchen. BUT, we will have a open kitchen concept, our WIW & Kitchen Island remains.

Even b4 out 1st appointment, we've have bought some stuffs for our home. Kiasu Singaporeans, aren't we? The next post will feature photos of our purchases for our new home... Till then.

hihi... will definately enjoy Thanks! though i've been living in Jurong thruóut my growing years, it's going to be a new experience..in fact i like Clementi & Htb loves the west coast expressway to work. I guess ur unit is at Casa Clementi? Is it the units above the mall?

This is our proposed design layout.

Due to budget constrain, many 'wants' have been elimated. We would like to go for good quality than to keep the 'wants' of poorer quality. To say that we'll be having a WIW & an open concept kitchen. We'll hv a Kitchen Island & an Island chinmey hoob

Kitchen cabinent laminates, Solid-top choices & colours for the whole house choosen!

Tomorrow meeting ID again to take site measurements so that she can proceed with 3D drawings. Can't wait to see our 3D, so excited
