I think our jaws drop when it's sold... imagine this unit gets privatised ^^' cant imagine how much further e price will go...

OMG, this is really crazy... one of those Bishan 'sky terrace' maisonettes is in the market for (drumroll...) $1,080,000!!

It's 1,754 sqft / 162.95 sqm (built-in), no mention of valuation price, flooring or condition.

http://www.propertyguru.com.sg/listing/hdb-for-sale-194-bishan-street-13-9184556

I saw one last year asking for $900k... over $1 mil is just jaw-dropping. :jawdrop:

Now that HDUC is privatized..... Never know the day when HDB also privatized, maybe partially. Just like SBS, SMRT or SP or SingTel.... Do u think it will happen?

Let this spiral continue, and our kids will not be able to afford their own roofs when the time comes for them to leave the nest......

Cleong, I just found out that the unit at our blk that is asking for 700k belongs to one of my neighbours. I saw the agent bringing buyers to view the unit. The unit was nicely done up about 3 yrs ago. The couple told me that they spent more than 120k in renovation cost in total........

Finally exercised my option for an Em in Hougang... :dancingqueen:

Aircon Question : apparently older EM's can only use max 8.5amps . So cannot have two compressors.

Are we limited to a 28K BTU Compressor system 4?

I'm thinking of air conditioning the whole house 2 fan coils in living & Dining and three bed rooms.

Ideal solution 38K BTU System 4 plus 1 window unit.

Anyone using 28K BTU System 4 . Is it cold ? or does it take like half an hour or so to get cold.

Would appreciate if you could share your aircon config with me .... Thanks a bunch..

Nope not yet , but wonder whats the likelihood of approval.

U using system 4?

Yes, currently using System 4 left over by previous owner - 3 blowers for 3 rms in 2nd level, 1 blower for utility rm. Wanted to install another compressor for living hall.... But my ID was not helpful and did not apply for Hdb approval. Now that my reno is over, I still intend to apply Hdb approval to aircon my hall.

Finally exercised my option! :-) It's gonna be a long wait for appts. Potatoes, the unit I bought is low floor near Tampines Central. I think it's a good deal, my immediate neighbour just did a valuation and it has gone up by 10k. Next Step: Reno. I have an idea of what I want, thus I do not need an id. Does anyone have good contacts for Reno? Good workmanship, prompt delivery and reasonable costings. Appreciate if you could share the contacts. Cheers!
