hehe... so we r using the same agent. ;) We got the unit with our 1st viewing. Very few units that we are willing to commit with the first viewing.

Ha... Though he wasn't the first agent we have met, when my sis's boss recommended him to us - we somehow stick to him since then. He is super committed - like a family than an agent.

So when will u be moving in?

Hi Decruz,

Thanks!

Manage to shortlist one from propertyguru - sunset way :)

Any comments on a walk-up EM?

Other than the inavailability of lifts - what else?

Low floors

- may have more creepy crawlies :(

- may have smells from the rubbish chute

- may have lesser wind as the block may be blocked by other higher blocks surrounding/near it

I find walk up EMs really not very good as there's no lifts. Not only for elders/kids, but if you have little kids and have prams, it'll be a hassle to climb the stairs. Also u'll need to carry your heavy groceries up the stairs.

For EMs on the ground floor - lack of privacy and lots of noise from people walking by the unit.

Hope it helps. :)

not so soon. prob start of next year before cny.... cos i refinanced my current place and to avoid any penalty, I will need to extend the timeline. Edmund helped us to sell our current unit as well. ;)

Let us know how your viewing went! :)

I guess it is all personal preference.

My Criteria:

1. High Floor

2. Lift Landing

3. Near MRT

4. Quiet

5. Not much reno needed

6. Clean and windy

My house has it all. Except that the price is a bit steep. But we are happy paying.

And the best is....it is a corner unit and people will not be peeping into my hse. :)

Ha... Know what - I went this evening after work to view the envt.

Quite like it! Very exclusive i thought - a block with only 8 units!

4 units on ground floor and 4 units on 3rd level.

I think it's a corner unit. :)

Hope that my hubby will like it!

Ha... My criteria

1. As long as I have a place of my own! :)

2. West - near my mother's place and our office

3. Quiet

4. Big area size

5. As run-down a possible - will overhaul the place

Hi Hi,

Have seen the unit - both hubby & myself like the house. Very nicely done already (2nd owner - lived there for 5yrs) - and to what we planned to do if overhauling - thus not much renovation required.

It was such an coincidence that the seller's agent is a vendor whom my ex-company dealt with.

Hopefully, it's an advantage for us.

Pros:

1. We like the feel, energy of the house

2. Location - near mother's place, near office, near town

3. Quiet

4. Well maintained - Dun have to spend $$ on renovation

Cons:

1. Traffic conditions - heard it's bad during peak hours

2. Walk-up

3. Cannot overhaul the place :(

Then owe me one kopi ah.

I also got my EM from propertyguru. Have been searching for 4 months for a house.

And for my new hse, we took 2 days to decide and one week to lock it in. :)

Corner units are great! Can buy more recess area and have a little extra 'balcony'. hehehhe
