jshome 1 Report post Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) Yeah... the railing is up! You only see this type of railing in commercial/retail building and so far I didn't see any home owner doing this. We are taking the risk and I think it really turns out well!! Next will be putting on color on it and it will be perfect! We may just do away with replacing the parquet stairs, instead my SO is thinking of just cement screed to match the railing?!! getzski 1 Report post Posted June 7, 2012 Went p to the top floor of my block and was surprised by the view! You can even see our very own Sand pit at the very far end. But very soon, this view will be blocked the the project infront of us.lol....just realised where you are staying. i was just jogging in the park yesterday, and was admiring the nice location of those units there. do you get any of the noise generated from the highway? jshome 1 Report post Posted June 7, 2012 Reno started slowing down after all the above was done.... HDB have yet to approved our slanted main entrance, this delayed our hacking of the entrance wall and study wall. We really can't afford to wait any longer, MIL already hinting to us, keep asking us when we are moving back and the daily journey from north-east-CBD and CBD-east-north is killing us!!!!!We told the contractor to go ahead to hack the study wall and leveling up the kitchen floor while we give HDB another few more days to approve. If still not approved by then, we got to go for Plan B After all the hacking and leveling, we are left with flooring, carpentry, painting and lighting, this will take another month to complete :furious: Till now we have yet to finalise our carpentry work!!!!! :furious: Got to speed things up already! Nevertheless, you can still hear it if you listen.. hahahaBy the way, which part of the park are you staying? Edited June 7, 2012 by jshome
jshome 1 Report post Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) Anyone knows if we can change our mailbox lock, I'm suspecting that my previous owner is still holding on a set. I did not take out their letters but one day all their letters in the mailbox is gone! Edited June 7, 2012 by jshome

taichipanda 3 Report post Posted June 7, 2012 I realise from the final drawing that the upper cabinets goes all the way to the ceiling with little access at the top. That means I will have problem opening my Aventos HF! The bi-fold area will definitely hit the ceiling and I might not be tall enough to pull it back down You can consider installing the servo-drive for Aventos HF lift up system; set you back about $900. In fact for all the Aventos lift up system, you need to have some allowance space in-between the ceiling and the top of the top cabinet.
