how much is the larder unit????

The larder units are their most expensive range of drawer. The cost for the silver grey range from $76 - $108 per unit depends on the height and weight required. The silk white color from this brochure range from $103 - $$123.

I have total 9 larder units, plus other normal drawer, way exceeded my budget. Got to cut down and thinking of other mechanism, maybe be change to wired basket type. Got to do a little bit more research.

I am doing some researching over the net and chance upon some useful and informative publications from the BCA website. There are 2 publications "Design and matertial for Quality" vol 1 & 2 that talks about how different materials or different design give you better quality work!

I find alot of tips from there, and it helps to provide me with a little more knowedge when checking the reno work! So if you got time, do go and take a look.

Extracted from the publication - for marble tiles, it is better to used non-sand type of grout as the sand grout type will Scratch the polished marble.

i was eyeing the silk white from this brochure.. looks so chio... yet so exp!

i've seen another brand.. but its not cheap either. 700+++ just for the pull out larder unit.

I spend all of my brain cell planning for the kitchen cabinet configuration. And since it is my personal space, i know exactly what i want and which hinge system to use. This is what i draw for my IDs... The final position is slightly different with both the right side full side cabinet and cooking stove to be moved to the left side. Till now i'm still thinking of the usage of the cabinet space, where my pots and pan be store, the spices rack, drying rack and etc etc... I'm still deciding whether to hide my drying rack behind the top carbinet or using back my existing standing rack?? I'm not very tall and if i have to dry it at the cabinet, i might need to tip toe and water may flow down to my elbow and to my ........

I realise from the final drawing that the upper cabinets goes all the way to the ceiling with little access at the top. That means I will have problem opening my Aventos HF! The bi-fold area will definitely hit the ceiling and I might not be tall enough to pull it back down

I realise from the final drawing that the upper cabinets goes all the way to the ceiling with little access at the top. That means I will have problem opening my Aventos HF! The bi-fold area will definitely hit the ceiling and I might not be tall enough to pull it back down

M & A are familiar with this problem - did you mention that you wanted this system? I told them I wanted this last time, and they advised that if we want to retain upper cabinets to the ceiling, we cannot use this hinge (or we can leave a space from ceiling to upper cabinet that I didn't want, waste space, etc)... . So eventually we settled for the hinge that I am currently using.

Blum is a little pricey. You can also explore if Hafele is a more economical alternative especially if you plan to have many units in the kitchen. From what I've read, Hafele quality is fine. Blum is more 'branded' of course.

Hafele has a showroom that you can visit to see the systems IRL. Somewhere ulu I think. Or play with the ones at Interior Affairs.

My carpenter tells me not waste money, he will do all the external drawers using blum soft closing runner and ask me to get only the internal drawers for him to instal. He is also helping me to do the undersink drawer that works the same as blum.

Ya flip up. We hardly use the top shelves btw. Requires stool to reach so we keep seldom used items on top.
