minchul 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2012 Hi jshome, I'm very interested in vinyl flooring as well given that it seems to mimic wood quite well and maintenance is fuss free. But i'm a little paranoid about the safety of vinyl flooring material.Vinyl is made from petrochemicals after all.Did the supplier provide any factsheet about chemical content and outgassing percentage? Hope to find some reliable information or at least a responsible supplier as it is the only factor deterring me from vinyl, and the internet is quite misleading sometimes.Thanks. jshome 1 Report post Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) My door to my mbr is this type. Very very nice and flush in to my tv feature wall.Wow... nice! I like this type of door, the best is the 180 degree turn type. I suggested that for our main door, but nobody buy into my idea. Out of all the features, 2 of them states "Environmental Friendly" - produced using virgin vinyl as well as recyclable material and "E1" - very low formaldehyde emission, it has been certified under the test standard of EN717-1 for determination of formaldehyde content. And behind the fact sheets, it shows all sort of testing result done. So I guess this one should be quite safe. If you are getting other type of vinyl, then make sure you get the fact sheet as well. "like" "like" "link" I do have recess area, so 180 degree door should be able to work, but my SO say no to it leh.. I'm thinking of installing digital lock for both the main door and gate, is it unusual?? Most people i read in the forum just install on the main door, but that means still need to carry key to open gate right?? I need to explore that further. Any suggestion? Most people i read in the forum just install on the main door, but that means still need to carry key to open gate right?? I need to explore that further. Any suggestion?reason why main door can install digital lock is because gate cannot install digital lock. 1) the lock doesn't fit gate2) gate have holes so can fiddle and open the digital lockSo those that want digital lock have to use number padlock to open the gate. or like me, don't have gate! for children for doors that goes 180 degrees, its a bit dangerous lah... when they run, they will push the door. then they cannot see who is at the other side of the door then when they push, might knock someone down. i have a 180 degrees door for my MBR and 360 degree door for my WIW.
