I think Spacious and Edgeline are "sister" company. On Friday was at IMM and passes by their shop. Saw this slightly plump lady talking to some clients. Is she the Irene from Edgeline?

Sorry was on vacation in Genting over the long weekend.

I think there may be a few Irene in Edgeline & Spacious. This is our ID (Irene Ho) from Edgeline Planners.

So far we are very happy with their workmanship & attitude.

Not sure about which posts you are referring to regarding complains on workmanship issues of Spacious Planner. From my experiences and view points, generally you really need to understand the complains from both side and see the actual issues/pics rather than just some comments posted. For sure, there will be complains in any renovation and the question is, is the problem really that bad and what action/solution can it come up to solved the problem.

We was also very sceptical of all the complains from others before we started our reno but as long as you are communicating effectively and overlook the reno progress this will eliminate/minimise any misunderstanding or problems.

Hi impeller,

We used them last year (see Edgeline Planner ) and no issue with contracts. What exactly you are refering to?

I believe another forumer is currently engaging the renovation work with Edgeline Planner in the t-Blog.

They are very professional and easy going. Not the cheapest in town but great design, carpentry & tiling workmanship.

I had engaged this ID firm for my reno. Initially everything is all ok but once reno start and the first big payment is collected, things is not as rosy as before. Had pointed out some fault of their workmanship and they tell me its like that one. The worse got to be their carpentry. Doors of the kitchen cabinet, shoe rack and toilet vanity top were warped, installed crookedly, gaps between doors so big that my pinkie finger can squeeze through.

Walls surface not too good after painting, again its like that one. The original wall is not perfect or ex owner did something to the wall. All the more they should rectify it or at least inform me about it. Why do i reno the whole house and these 'its like that stuffs' just let it be?

After collecting the final payment and signed the handing over, all calls are not answered. Always in meeting or things that cannot answer calls. Ask them to come and rectify things, must wait for days to get an answer on when they can come. Tell you 1-2pm can wait till 7pm then come.

Yo, what you said i share the same sentiments exactly. Edgeline planners will not be recommended by me to my colleagues and friends who wanna do the renovation for the new house.

I did very extensive reno works for my new house, under an ID from Edgeline Planners. Sigh. Very disappointing and i think we will not hire them back in future anymore. During reno, following up of items was slow or never done and often the workmanship was so disappointing as compared to others who hired cheaper IDs... Now that the house has completed and still "under warranty period", trying to contact the ID to fix some items is also difficult and we have to chase him like many many times over sms, over hp calls before he arranges to get a contractor down.

Design is nice but workmanship and working with them got many problems.... be it the tiling, the carpentry, the plumbing, etc etc etc, all had so many problems. Only have praises for the electrician who was responsible and much much more responsive than my ID. Tried to feedback or "complain" to the lady boss Angie but turned out she wasn't any better. Sigh...

Sometimes during reno, I really felt like going down to their nice showroom entrance and pour red paint over it. Afterall I really spent a huge sum at Edgeline Planners. Much more than 50K... Anyway I know who Irene is, think she looks nice to get along with, good luck!
