Redo Existing Flooring Without Hacking

Hi there, my HDB unit is more than 10 years old. Was thinking of doing minor redo on the flooring minus the hacking.( As i still need to live in the unit during the redo work) Was told that its possible not to conduct any hacking and just relay floring over existing tiles and parquet flooring.

Is this really possible and most importantly is this approve by HDB??? Please advice....

Yes, it is posible and approved by HDB. But for parquet flooring need to remove the extg parquet first. New flooring can't lay on top of the parquet flooring.
