kunzzy 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2012 Hi Everyone, I have a question and I hope you can help me clear my doubts I was told by the contractor that hacking of the wall cost me $1500...ok reasonable...go ahead. He bought me a stainless steel sink....$350.....ok reasonable...go ahead.but today i was told the total bill for my works cost me $4800. After deducting the above, I was charged $2950 for following1) add 2" of cement on the floor to create leverage for the kitchen cupboards to be placed later and add "solid surface" to the side of the cement.2) adding a cement table to put the sink3) connecting the water pipes from the mains and drainage to the sink. 4) touch up with cement for the ceiling and side walls from the hacking5) Rewiring 1 switch to another wallTotal time taken was 3 days. Here is a photo....was the job worth $2950? Sorry to be ignorant but i have a feeling i was being over charged.
