akkywendy 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2012 Hi,You can ask carpenter to make 2 plywoods to the size you want,and just glue and clamp it to the glass.thanks for the suggestion! but the one pictured here is not stuck flat to the glass panel. there are gaps between the wood and glass so your fingers can slip behind the wood and get a better grip when you push the door open. i just can't figure out where to get the mechanism for the door push handle... papaedmund 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2012 oh i was referring to the spacers between the two wood planks for the fingers to grip the handle. yah the push sign is just a sticker. i don't know how to attach the wood to the 'spacers' and then attach the spacers through the glass door to the other piece of woodHi again,If glass spacers are use,you need to have holes drilled on the glass anduse a male to female glass spacer.Imagine that this male and female spacers are tighten onto the glass,use the end 'HEAD' spacer (usually provided together)and tighten it together with the wood with the 'HEAD' sunken in and flush with thewood.Once its confirm everything is tighten,paste the last outer plywood (usually thin one 3-5mm) and finish with the necessary finishing like sanding and varnishing.(carpenter will know)As in the picture i can't see roughly how thick the wood is and how longthe spacer is,this is what i think maybe how it was done and i could be wrong Furthermore, the spacer plus wood cannot be too thick as it may affect the door opening and closing at the side edges.Another easiest way if you do not need to see any spacers but wood only,just use 2 pcsof finished wood with top and bottom already cut in for your finger to grip and glueit to the glass.(of course need stronger glue)Hope you can understand what i said Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
