ayazumi 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2012 The chairs does seem very comfortable and definitely suit the bench and dining table. Like if!!Thanks May. It was Hubby's choice of color. I wanted a green chair, but he prefers white. Luckily the color combo turns out well.
ayazumi 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2012 Hi Valerie, as promised:In terms of worksmanship, I think the aircon uncle can do better than this - the ledge is uneven; spoil the look. So if you want to do a ledge, ask the aircon guys to do a good job for you. My aircon uncle used aircon trunking for top and bottom, the centre is a filmsy wood board. LLChing 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2012 Have you tried Army market for the tie strings? If not, for temporary use till you find the prefect strings, cable ties work well too for securing the shelves. Used those for our storeroom metal shelving when a few screws and nuts in hard to reach places became loose and the L-shaped shelves starts to wobble. Do you mean the ledge for the top is a dummy aircon trunk? There won't be water flowing through that trunking? We won't be asking the aircon guy to do, as there won't be any aircon work, we will just ask our contractor to do it. I like the warm light from the birdcage pendant light, nice mood! We want to use strings with fish hook to hook the top to bottom shelves in ctisscross directions so that the strings can create individual shelving and support the canvas paintings. We can't find those ruffle strings with fish hook. We went to hardware shop but they don't sell it.

Water won't leak in as there is a board behind the compressor; in the centre of the compressor and the filmsy board. Actually the dummy aircon trunking is pinned on the original wall. Only the centre of the wall is empty, but it's blocked by compressor, follow by a board, then the filmsy board. The only water leakage is the window side frame. We suspect there is small hole, that's why water leak in when rainy days, so Hubby uses black silicon to touch up the side frame. And it works, no more water leakage. Perhaps can use mini carabena to replace fish hook.

It is not fish hook, but I'm not sure how to term it, so I call it "fish hook". It is a black color hook at both end of the string, and the string color is white, black, red or blue (mutiple color). The string is quite thick and flexible to pull.

I will let my contractor know and see what he can do with it. By the way, yesterday you officially moved into the house? How was the feeling?
