ayazumi 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) We also have ugly aircon trunking in the MBR, but it is currently aligning with the indented wall in the MBR, not so obvious, but when you look at it closely, you can actually see it. The trunking is also on the left side of the window. Not sure if i should re-do the aircon piping. Or maybe i will just get a slightly wider curtain to cover up the ugly pipes. We suggested to the aircon man if we can run the piping across the MBR beam like the one you have shown in the picture, but the uncle don't suggest this way. The two aircons in the study room and arts room are placed above the door. There must be a room that needs to run the trunking downwards so that there is enough pressure to flow out the water. That's why you see in study room, the trunking from above goes downwards, then straight bottom all the way, and drill a hole and link to MBR. There must be a pressure point to allow the water to flow through, otherwise, in long-term, the water may get stuck somewhere and leakage will surface. Uncle also don't suggest to place aircon near the window; long-term will spoil the aircon. I'm not very sure if it is less expensive to do re-lay piping and keep the old aircon unit. Why u didn't get Panasonic? Can ask for me system 2 Panasonic n mhi inverter how much boh?And did u hav water proofing work pic?Last sat I went to my house they ddie they do water proofing at bathroomThen I see like just some water patch with cement on the floor lerSo don't know they do properly or notI didn't get Panasonic because initially we already decided to get Mitsubishi, and my father already told uncle to reserve Mitsubishi units for us (that time Mitsubishi was running out of stock), so we don't want to trouble anyone to change again. Plus Panasonic color is silver, don't really suit our theme, but Panasonic aircon units look nice too. We visited one of the bunglow sites that my father is doing now. The uncle installed Panasonic aircon units for the bunglow. Uncle said Panasonic is $2,100-$2,000. He got better discount for Mitsubishi. Add another $50 for Mitsubishi. Prices inclusive of 5-year warranty for compressor. The water-proofing pictures are 3-4 pages away from the last page of our blog. You may want to scroll back and see. We got take the water proofing in toilets. Water patch is normal lah. The water proofing is wet. Edited April 10, 2012 by ayazumi
Nimzo 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2012 They have also covered the old MBR doorway well. The MBR toilet wall tiles are 95% completed, except the upper part of the wall! These guys are really fast and competent! They have laid the first layer of water proofing on the MBR toilet floor. Looks wet, guess will need to wait at least 1-2 days to dry.We have this good feeling that the tiling work for the bedrooms or living room will be completed by this week or earlier next week. Your water proofing like cement while my one forgot to take pic like dry dry one

ayazumi 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) END OF DAY TWENTY-SEVENAs mentioned earlier, we requested the aircon uncle to leave a 3" gap from the window edge so that we can install roller blind/curtain nicely fit to the window width. No worries about the ugliness of the 3" gap because the curtain/roller blind can block the 3" gap. Here is the close up look:Uncle's back view. Look closely, there is a trunking side by side with the window ledge. As the board is 1"+ width, we cannot use two x 1" board to full flush the side aircon trunking. So uncle uses the trunking as the back support for the wooden board, so that the wooden board will full flush with the aircon trunking. Now we have an extension window ledge. Now I can put plant pot on the window ledge for decorative purposes.Aircon unit above door in study roomThe trunking is built downwards so that the water pressure can go down and straight to the MBR for drainage. The bottom trunking will be covered by our study tables.Aircon in arts room. This is the most luckiest room without any exposed trunking. ayazumi 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) Aircon units are covered up with plastic to prepare for painting work tomorrow. Yes! Meaning to say, our renovation is near to completion very soon. Edited April 25, 2012 by ayazumi
Valerie Low 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2012 I like the idea of an extension window ledge to put some plants there. It will definitely cheer up the whole look. But the aircon trunking in your study room is very obvious, is that the part that will be blocked by the door when the door is open?
