Questions About Metal Conduit (Piping) For Electric Wires

For those that have used this in their apartment... what is it made of? Stainless steel? Also, has anyone tried to add extra outlets or lights after renovation and was still able to use metal conduits or did you have to use the standard pvc flat trunking?

I really like the look of them but wondering if I will be able to add more lights or power outlets in future. Thanks!

I was asking some technical guy about the small area between the tracks whether will we get electric shock if we put our finger there. and amazingly it wont, unless you purposely poke into it lor...
