Hehe by that time your reno should be ending soon, right? The permit put end date 16 April, but might take another 1 week for rectification, if there is any to rectify. If everything goes smoothly, we should be moving in in end April.
Terrain1976 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2012 19 Mar 2012 (Pre-reno)After meeting 3 contractors, we are more or less quite firm with one of the contractors. Meeting contractors and explaining our requirements all over and over again is really a tiring process (although only 3). More tiring than house hunting i think We are planning to view one of his projects, if everything goes well, we will confirm with him next week! In the weekend, we have gone to Hafary and LSH to see see look look. Just to get a rough idea on the tiles selection. We found that the tiles that we love are mainly Italian tiles! Have talked to the contractor and he said he is ok for us to use tiles above 3.80 for certain area. He is quite flexible in this. Happy~Hi,Mind to PM me who are the 3 contractors? Me also in headache position now as i need to make my decision by end of this mth.. Till date, none of my contractor is free to bring me for any viewing of their completed of on going work at all.. Till date, none of my contractor is free to bring me for any viewing of their completed of on going work at all.. Contractors are usually the most busiest group of people in reno, all if not most of them will not be able to entertain you by bring you around to view their workmanship, that is the job for Interior Designer. I was thinking to save money and don't do false ceiling/L-box for living room. So I came out with a plan to install track lights in the living area. Having pendant light for the dining table, then track lights like in Option 1 with fan and a row of track light near the windows. no need for the other track light near the dining table. That's a good idea, can save some cost. But just four track lights near the window will it be bright enough? Maybe I am too greedy
