Platform Bed For Small Apartment Bedrooms?

Behold, the Selex Blok Walk-On Modern Platform Bed designed by Milmueble:

So, yesterday I entered to win this bed in an online contest. Now, I love the look of it, but in case I do win, I am concerned about its size relative to my small bedroom (less than 12 feet across either way). It's only a queen size, but the platform and walk-on chestnut base make it significantly bigger than just the mattress size. Would this be too big for my bedroom, or even if it could fit, would it look "tacky" to have such a large bed in so small a bedroom? Any input is appreciated! :bangwall:
