Types Of Kitchen Sinks

Recommended Posts

The soundproofing.... Errr, need to touch up anot? If yes, what and how do i touch it up?

Whatever touch up you do will not improve the sound proofing except the aesthetic look. You might want to paint to match with the colour of your sink cabinet though unnecessary. :notti:

hi all,

i am planning to get this kraus sink too. anyone else keen to do a group shipping and save a bit on shipping costs?

can sms me at 97622011

Hi, I'm not sure if you will save on shipping cost even if you buy more as these are bulky items and they just multiple the quantity with shipping charges. But I may be wrong.

Unless the items are small enough where you can put into a box, then shipping charges will be lesser when you buy more.

Hi, I have posted the dimension for those who wanna know more. I'm using a 23" square sink.

I think my tap head is too close to the solid surface. Every time I wash anything, it splashed onto the surface.

Thanks for the dimension, kim. It'll come useful for me as i am yet to do anything with it...  and others too.

So, would u suggest to get a slightly longer outstretched tap head? Yet to survey and buy any yet.

Ehh ? My friend was telling me cannot buy any tap cos there's an optimal distance from the tap head to your sink, typically the middle ? I also don't remember distinctly but she told me to measure it cos if the distance is too near to the edge of your sink, you probably won't be able to wash your stuff properly or be constrained by that.

Btw, anyone has pictures of the mounted 23" round sink to share ? I'm curious to compare how it looks compared to the square one.

Thx !

To me, my optimum is to have my tap outlet slightly backward from the middle of the sink. Tap outlet in the middle i prefer to have it taller in order to maneuver big pots into the sink. Usually no issues for any taps. It's up to your preferences. To me i like tall taps cos i can move my pots in and out easier.

I haven't mount my round sink to the solid surface yet but you can Google the image or visit Kraus website for a feel.

Speaking of feel, it's best to go to showroom in, i.e.IMM to have a feel of the tap you prefer.

of course, you should not choose a toilet tap to use for your kitchen tap la.. :P

Hi, I believe different people different preference. U see the dragonnite and yokechye. One say middle and one say slightly backward from middle. SO I think also depend whether do you have big pots or woks. If yes, maybe slightly backwards will be easier to wash. But then the back surface will get splash easily. Like mine. :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Hi,

am sharing the cost and shipping/handling cost breakdown of my purchase of 2 sinks (shipped together). If someone else can share their corresponding single shipment cost for same sink, then can compare to see if any savings for multiple sink purchase.

My orders (cost in US$):-

KHU101-23 (23" square): $329.95

KHU100-32 (32" single bowl square) : $369.95

Add Shipping/handling cost : $216.18

GST : $64.13

---------

Ttl $980.21

Both orders under global expedited shipping.

Bought the following mixers for my kitchen. Asked my ID before i bought them, to vet dimensions to ensure it will fit the sinks I wanted to buy. Both have swivel function so that i can swivel the mixer sprout incase i need to fit in big items into sink. Will post pix after I fix them up about 2 months later. Renov just started :)

Hi Kim,

Do you mind posting the distance from the edge of your sink to the middle of the sink hole ? I thought I saw this measurement somewhere online but was searching and couldn't find it.

Thx v much !

Depends on your budget.

Hansgrohe or Grohe are 2 very popular but expensive brands

Hi all,

I ordered a 30" Kraus square sink.

it states that the item should arrive in about a week's time.

looking forward to seeing my new sink.

As for group shipping, there is a bit of savings if more items are being shipped together, but its not that much.

maybe save $10 per item.
