JChu 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2015 Hi, I am new to the forum and an active amazon buyers. Find it interesting that ppl are actually buying kitchen sinks and other bulky items from amazon! That goes to say how overpriced things are in Singapore. Looking to join the club and buy from amazon too! My questions are:-1) are we still covered by the limited lifetime warranty of these products? Sinks, faucets, shower set (mixer etc).2) Anyone received faulty products before? And what do you do? (pls.... dont tell me we have to send the products back, especially the sink!) Can we call the local distributor/ service center to honor the warranty?3) ok, i know this topic is 'kitchen sinks', but I believed some of you bought kitchen/ bathroom faucets or shower set too? What do I really need? I went to the shop yesterday and realized the shower system is quite 'complex' with the mixer and something that look like a 'motor' (of course its not motor) that will be fixed to the wall. I am worried that I may not have ordered the complete set needed for installation and then cant find compatible parts in Sg... Pipes etc - are they universal and my plumber is able to supply that or do I need brand specific pipes/ parts etc to fix the faucets/ showers? Thanks a lot! JChu 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2015 30/ 32 inch for single bowl sink seems very big to me... my current 2 bowls sink only 30inch.... anyone switch from 2 bowls users to single bowl? I am so used to 2 bowls and never used single bowl, so am not very sure if I can get used to a very large single bowl, as like someone mentioned, good to have one bowl to put the 'rubbish' while cutting and chopping and have another 'clean' bowl... can anyone share if the switch has been 'painful'? jonatha332 4 Report post Posted May 18, 2015 Yes. I got this sink as well, great deal. And just to add, I also face the same problem about shipping but they promptly waive the shipping for me.Hi all,Just sharing my experience buying Kraus sink.I have read the reviews about Kraus sink and got myself one Kraus 30 inch Undermount Single Bowl 16 gauge Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink after getting poisoned by this thread.I was super kiasu that I ordered this sink last month even though I have not collected my keys. I will be collecting my keys next week though .I emailed the Amazon CSO to check if this was eligible for free shipping to Singapore last month, he told me yes.So my husband and I thought," Mai Tu liao (Don't procastinate anymore), Just Buy!"Actually, my husband is quite skeptical about buying online, he worried if there's defect, we cannot exchange easily and it will be a hassle.I ordered on 18/Mar Wed, it arrived on 21/Mar Sat evening. There was some hiccups when I was ordering the sink, there is a shipping fee of SGD$300+. Total amount: $700+ including tax, so I was like I immediately chat with Amazon CSO, it was kind of like MSN chat. He checked the item for me and told me it was eligible for free shipping as I emailed. He said there might be technical problems since the address I put is Singapore which eligible. He waived the shipping fee, the total cost of the sink is SGD$397.63. No more tax since below $400.Since it was my first purchase in Amazon, the CSO upgrade me to express delivery, although I don't really need it. Excellent service by Amazon. We are super happy with the purchase as it is below $400 and the quality is really good, no defects. Thanks Kim76 and others for sharing.I also bought my hansgrohe taps and shower mixer from www.insani24.de since it is 35% cheaper than the discount price in Singapore including shipping fee.Hopefully it will arrive damage-free as per sink. I think you need to understand the risk of buying online products is no warranty lor. I got this kind of mentality when I 1st bought, not sure about others. If you receive a 'lemon' product, take picture and try to negotiate with CSO to ask for them to re-send the product. But If you really care about the waranty, it is best you buy in Singapore.2. Someone in this thread do receive the lemon product, you can read about it few pages before.3. A mixer is just to regulate the water temp. by opening and closing of valves from the hot water and cold water pipe in different level. Example, if you want more hot water, the valve from the hot water will open more, then the valve from cold water pipe will reduce the opening. The only difference for the mixer fitting is you must know whether your water pipe is exposed or hidden type. For new BTO flat, the water pipes are hidden type. For older flats, the water pipes are exposed type. From what I know, you need to buy the exposed type of mixer for older flats.Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.
