Other Alternatives If Do Not Want A Rerun Of Air Con Wire?

Recently my inverter sys 4 aircon all have problem producing cool air, and after checking by the repairman, he says all 4 wires linking to the indoor units from the outdoor unit were short circuited due to the rain and dripping water from upstairs and have to do a rerun of wires.

The problem is my whole HDB flat is covered with false ceiling and i have a built-in platform storage near the outdoor unit wall & floor.

So he said if i want a rerun of wire, i need to hack away all the false ceiling (since i dunno how the wire actually runs) and the built-in storage.

I think it will be a disaster if i really hack away my whole house false ceiling that is made 2-3 years ago. But other than getting portable or casement aircon for every single room in the house, anyone knows if there is any other alternatives?

I believe hack ceiling & storage, re run wire & remake false ceiling and storage will cost a bomb in total right.

Normally for HDB the wire is not concealed. For mine, it is a condo and all the wires were concealed in the wall. When I change my air-con, I requested for rewiring, the quotation includes the rewiring, touching up costs. It cost me $3k+ for Daikin system 4, and not many contractor willing to do this.

my husband and I were actually imitating Condo style design when we do our reno with all the concealing & hacking. Didnt cross our minds the practicality issue at that time thou.

New updates:

My husband felt skeptical about the rewire thingy (he doesnt believe air con can still be on with a short circuit wire, it shd make the air con dead already and not just not cold). So he decides to call Sanyo ppl down instead despite we have to pay $120 to get them to "take a look". (since ours is a Sanyo inverter).

And guess what, that guy from Sanyo told us it's only the thermistor problems and nothing is wrong with our wires!!! All in all , we only paid $244 for 4 new thermistors and the labour + transport, and no need to spend thousands on rewiring.

Conclusion:

Luckily my husband is smarter than a housewife like me, otherwise we would have been "conned" by that service guy who told us to re wire the whole house for air con. It's really sad to know that that company (got a bit of brand) will resort to trying to act pro and fool people to fork out money to do unnecessary jobs on air con. So people, do try to be careful when these companies claim "FOC check, FOC quote if something is wrong, no obligations".

And believe me, he really looked very professional and convincing at that time, even showed me the "frayed" wires at the condenser there.

I will definitely boy-cott that company FOREVER and share my experience with those i know. (>_<)//

PS:

If that repair man had let me know it's the thermistor problems only, i def would have pay for his service to replace for me, so really dun understand why he wants to give up the smaller but definite profit in order to fish for the bigger but not confirmed gains. (or perhaps he didnt even know the problem at all in the 1st place?)
