gotta check if need to buy a step-down transformer or not though b4 i plug it in ... ;)

yes, that is the one. i bought mine from amazon & using a transformer to power it. For this model, look for watt range at least 100w but not more than 150w will do.

Hi Dragonnite,

Need to buy a stainless steel electric kettle too. From your experience, Is "AUX" brand good and reliable? Seems to be one of the major brands in China? Can I trouble you to share link of your Sanyo kettle?

Cheers,

Luxray

can try philips stainless steel kettle, mine is 1.25L, doing decently well. :P good price i had gotten at philips fair at tpy.

ehhh, u bought the transformer at sim lim square ? i gotta check on my unit - i thought i checked it before i moved it back, i think it can take 110-240v but gotta double-check...

one good thing about the electronics in china that i brought back so far - they all can do 110-240v so i dun need transformer...

if yours is a 110-240v unit, transformer not required, just make sure you switch to 240v that's all. I'm not sure about china electronics, especially on their voltage. The only thing I know about it, plug head could be different, small issue though

I bought my transformer in challenger. I think the cost of my air purifier from amazon still cheaper than sg. Sgd200 vs sg retail price at sgd499

For 100w, left IMM as I had cleared their balances in Eastpoint, only 2 outlets got 100w. For 230w, plenty in any outlets.

I itchy again. Looking for a stand to shift my Aktimate Mini from study room to bedroom.

Try to find 2nd hand but not a lot and shape and color don't suit my rm.

Spotted a stand in taobao but not sure how much overall will cost.

Can I ask the taobao seniors here to check if i'm correct in the costing?

Microlab speakers shelf speaker stands

T2RWX4XXlcXXXXXXXX_!!408159509.jpg

It says 12.9 kg. So according to 65diagou, by sea is $5.70 for 1st 500g & $1.70 for sub.

$5.70 + ($1.70 x 29) = $55 (I use 15kg in case packaging is heavy)

Product cost: $200 rmb = $41

So total cost is $41+$55+($41+$55)x0.08= $103.68?

Am I correct? Seem like shipping is more than product cost hor...

Any way to bring down cost?

Looks about right, i think can cross-check with peeka ?

incidentally, i c on the product description the price will drop soon - could be worth asking the shop when that would be... :sport-smiley-018:

if there are items you're planning to buy, could be worth considering freight forwarders like amcon mentioned by frankman - volumetric is probably cheaper but their minimum charge is about S$110 per cubic metre (i think) so you really want to maximise that amount if you can't hit 1 cubic metre by yourself...

you need to check how much watts it will consume on max output to determine whether which transformer is suitable.

For my vornado fan, max output at 55w so I went for 100w transformer. As for my air purifier, max output at 120w, so I bought 230w transformer as I'm lazy to hunt for 150w.

150w is available at Homefix for sgd30 odd, but 230w at Challenger for sgd31(member price) so I went for 230w instead.
