amazing amazon, i ordered on 9 jun and items started arriving today 13 jun. i choose ship as items becomes available so many more exciting days ahead.

these are 2 of the items that arrived today.

anyone where can get good bean bag in sg? i checked amazon those that shipped here limited brands and quality not so great.

thanks Dragonnite for that. Did you have to produce any documents to prove the price quoted by parisilk etc? I have done the electronics homework, and took note of the price at audio house... can easily call parissilk and find out how much are the items...cos i have the quote.

Roger the scanning ST every saturday...will continue to do that.

actually no...i simply told MDS, "xxx offered me this price, can you match that ?" they had to cos I bought all my electronics from them so they could do that for me...i think my total spend there was like $3+k and can charge to credit card...

somehow, i got the impression that MDS is more flexible for pricing than the rest...

oh, almost forgot...i bought my washing machine from HN because they had a direct promo with Thomson and their price ended up being cheaper than anywhere else...again, v heng suay cos i went to try my luck during their anniversary sale and got a really good deal... ditto for courts for my electrolux vacuum cleaner...

For such store like MDS, always got margin to allow for discount. They may charge cheaply for - item but the rest may not. Got to play around with bargain as usual.

You guys really going all out to shop in Amazon, I'm holding myself back. As always, happy shopping!!

i scouted for all the items i needed (furniture, electronics, bathroom fittings etc) about 4-5 mths b4 i needed them so i oredi had an idea of what was reasonable...

in terms of sale, it's v heng suay...i happened to hit the hansgrohe 30% anniversary sale so i whacked them all at a go even before i needed them...

all my electronics were bought at MDS - they have a list price, then they gave me a discount (varies from item to item, at least 15% off each item)...then i made them give me an overall discount on top of that i did call up audio house, paris silk etc and made them give me a quote over the phone for every item i wanted before i went with MDS...did not call up GAB cos they probably won't entertain me..

ironically GAB is the easiest one to quote. But u have to wait for them to search manually their catalog. They not in electronic world yet...

Thanks for the tip....i think i will just call parisilk to get the price comparison tomorrow....then i will go down to mega... a friend also ended up going to mega for his appliances....i will need to buy my Hitachi French door fridge...washing machine...55 inch samsung tv....think it is 4k plus investment...hopefully i get a discount. did they throw in free delivery for you?

GAB's operations are very simple & straight forward, if they don't have the products, they can check the prices & quote accordingly. They remained as an old traditional outfit.

With regards to free delivery, back to the your purchased product vendor, ie; Hitachi fridge & samsung tv might be delievered by their own team, not even MDS. So far, I dont remembered paying any delivery charges. You buy more items from them, they will try to waive for you if possible. Make sure you do your homework, the savings on prices are more important than vs delivery charges alone.

If possible, visit GAB since you are staying near to them at the moment. Do call them on opening hours to avoid hitting them when they are closing the doors for the day.
