Does this model has soft-closing?

Nope, so it does sort of slam shut but is not overly noisy like other cheaper models...go and try at homefix for yourself and see if it's tolerable for you...

this one is too big, i think i've seen before at homefix...

so far, the homefix at harbourfront has the most complete set of simplehuman trash cans, big and small...suggest you all go and see there before deciding...i did that myself.. :sport-smiley-018:

Homefix at harbourfront probably thought that due to GSS, high inflow of walk-in customers looking at simplehuman products, turned out all checking out the dimensions before shopping at Amazon. Lol

Hi everyone

Really need some help with a shopping task. I am looking for a dining table with the following specs:

1. solid wood top (no butcher wood, no pinewood) with black metal legs

2. Colour of solid wood top must be of a dark shade

3. Rectangular, at least 1.7m long

I have been to places like journey east, picket and rail, mountain teak, comfort furniture, commune and helping hands. Only journey east has a table that is close to what I'm looking for but I would have to pay more to get them to stain the wood to a darker shade. The total cost of the table will be about $2,100. I'm not willing to pay so much and so I'm still on the hunt for that illusive table. I'm attaching a pix here for reference and if any shopping guru here has seen something similar, please let me know. would really appreciate it!!

Im keen to see how does the decanter looks like in real!! Plse feedback on the durability, ditto on the stopper as provided.

in place of the carafe, you guys can consider the following aerators which simply plug into the wine bottle or in the case of the vinturi, held over the wine glass...vinturi is sold at crate & barrel singapore, around $70+ each...

Nicholas VinOair Wine Aerator

Vinturi Essential Red Wine Aerators, Set of 2 (also has set of 4)

great for a housewarming gift, or for yourself to use...apparently the pack of 4 are packed individually so you can give them away...

personally i think the decanter looks great...unfortunately i can't take a pic of it cos it is packed into our moving house boxes and tapped up already. The glass isn't too thick...the stopper is fab....good finish and i love it that after decanting the wine...i can put the wine back into the bottle....which means i can decant another bottle! We drink a lot of wine :)

Kim, these small mason jars are for homemade sauces like chilli sauce, pickled green chilli, to emulsify salad dressing quick and fast...that sort of things....i have also ordered the half gallon mason jars...waiting for them to arrive...those are mainly for storing stock in the fridge. We make our own chicken, fish and vegetable stocks...so having them in half gallon jars make sense. :)
