Oh ya. And all the lights use the latest Master T5 Circular fluorescent which can be quite hard to find. :dunno:

p1020522o.jpg

I forgot whether I mentioned that the T5 circular tube for warm light is so hard to find in Singapore. I tried calling Lighting.com.sg and they say Philips did not bring in the warm light version. Only cool light.

So bo bian. Bedroom in cool light.. so harsh....

Guess where I find the warm lights... Haaa... none other than in Taobao.... :dribble: :dribble: :dribble:

Now I got to find a way to get these back without breaking them...

It doesn't say how heavy the whole packaging is but if you use 65daigou, the first 0.5kg is S$5.70 and $1.70/0.5kg coming by sea, plus 8% of your bill. If you add it up, not so sure if it's worth it, unless it's an international warranty set, which is likely not for most stuff bought in china.

True... But if I am active in Taobao last year. I would have shipped this back! Because Singapore is 100% markup :jawdrop:

And this light is not heavy, and it can be folded so the box is small.

This year, my resolution is to learn Taobao. :sport-smiley-004: :sport-smiley-004:

Forgot to add in the additional exchange rate charged by 65daigou cos they actually help you pay. If you have a chinese bank account, all you need is actually just a shipper (you can do a search, some ppl recommend a shipper somewhere), which would cut the middleman charges by these guys.

Btw, if they know you are shipping it overseas and require extra packing, you can alert the seller and get him to do it for you. Most of the sellers have very good sales service. :good:

Taobao very easy, like ebay but way bigger range, and i like it that you release payment only on satisfactory receipt of the goods, not like ebay. :sport-smiley-004: And if you can't find it on taobao, it's probably not being manufactured anywhere... :notti:

Based on the weight, a rough calculation of total cost was around S$105, as it comes packed in a wooden box etc. Got lobang to tompang other ppl's container, i think it's about S$50 per 10kg or so - not sure if that's expensive or not but should be market rate. But i'm still thinking about whether i want to buy it, will let you know if i actually decide to get it over ... heh ... :sport-smiley-004:

hahah, too lazy to start a t-blog ... :sport-smiley-004:

taobao stuff i've bought ah, wow, a lot by now cos i lived there for a while ... tonight go home and extract a few and let you see... i've bought collectibles, toys, clothes, shoes, bags, mobile phone accessories, electronics, garbage bags etc

basically you can buy anything there, but you have to be selective about the sellers - i usually go by a combination of reviews (some of those reviews are "bought" one, you have to be able to filter them out, experience will tell you which ones are genuine and which ones are not) and a gut feel - it's hard to explain ... and i tend to buy from the same sellers once i get a good one ... :notti:
