franciz 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 I ordered a queen bed model "ice" for my daughter. Saw it at paya lebar bt place order with amk branch since i was served by kingcoil auntie all these while. But downside is amk did nt display tat model. So i told the sales person a prc lady tat i want exactly the same as display set at paya lebar. (ice is under starliving so nutin to do with kingcoil)They gave me 100% guarantee..no worries she say. Guess wat, as usual the story goes...WRONG!!!When will tere ever be a honest furniture retailer?
franciz 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 Jus to add, paya lebar displayed the red color bedframe with 4" chrome legs. They dlvrd me the red bed with 6" grey color legs...faint!!I called them, the prc still dared to tell me oh..there is only one model in the system, its this. So i told her, i went bk to paua lebar chk, cfm chrome legs nt grey n its 4". Then she say display is display...system canot choose legs. I told her in the first place i wanted exactly the same, if customers cant choose legs then u display for wat?its only when i said i got more things to buy fm starliving then she starts to budge. Terrible after sales service...or i shud say no service at all.
LLChing 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2012 Gosh! After about 6 weeks' wait, sales lady (another retailer with very bad reviews) confirmed that my sofa will reach Singapore next Tues and I should expect delivery next Fri. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that my order is ok. No wrong design, wrong material or wrong colour! So far, they have delivered my 2 dining chairs and the on-loan sofa without hiccups. LLChing 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) Just ordered a 3 seater sofa set from a notorious company at Toh Guan Furniture Mall . Delivery will be Sept 1. Din see the bad review before our order . Let's see how they fare this coming Wed 18/7. They are supposed to deliver our 2 dining chairs together with the on-loan 3 seater sofa. I won't mention the Co yet since the reviews are 2 - 3 yrs ago. Hope they have changed for the better.Thank goodness! Our 3 seater sofa was safely delivered today - 1 1/2 weeks earlier than the actual deadline of Sept 1. We ordered the set from winter International on July 15 and saw many nasty reviews on non-delivery, wrong design, bad service etc only after our order. However, when they promptly delivered the 2 dining chairs and on loan sofa, we were quite optimistic about their service. Then we saw news of China having typhoon havoc in many provinces which resulted in many delays in goods being shipped out. Once again, we thought, looks like fated our shipment will be delayed too. Nevertheless, we went down to Winter over the weekend to inquire and was told that our order was not affected and eta 21/8 Tues. We should receive it by 23/8 Thu. Yesterday, we received 2 calls from Winter, 1 from the delivery guy who confirmed the date and time and the other 1 from the sales staff who took our order. She just wanted to make sure that we were informed of the delivery schedule. That is the last piece of our big items and looks like Winter Intl did eventually pulled up its socks and provide good service, at least in our case. However, their prices for similar designs are much higher than other shops. You must know the market price and bargain accordingly. We quoted Star Living's prices for the dining chairs and they agreed to match it. Otherwise, we would be paying $45 more for each chair. LLChing 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2012 We applied for internal relocation of fiber optic pt in 12/5 and NetCo appt date is 15/6. Staff servicing us specifically told us to call Opennet a few days B4 the actual appt as a reminder. Called Opennet this morning and was told that there is no record on their side of an appt Opennet insisted that I call Singtel because Singtel is the one who fixed the appt for us. Called Singtel, relate our problem and was transferred to the fiber dept. Was told that the appt date was just for checking the fiber box, not cabling as there is no record of cabling in their system. Asked her about the $220 we have to pay and she admitted that was for relocation/cabling. TELCO DRAMA PART 2Guess what? Looks like these 2 qiants need an internal overhaul! After 2 1/2 mths, suddenly got a call from Opennet's external billing firm asking me whether I've settled Opennet's bill of $235.40. Told her I have not received any billing from Singtel. Then she sent me 2 emails insisting that I look through Singtel's June, July and August bills to locate the $235.40 figure and scan her a copy of the invoice as well as indication of my payment.Emailed her that I have not received any billings from anyone and since Opennet insisted that I should forward any request/complaint etc to Singtel when I spoke to them in June, it's only right that I should also make payment only to Singtel (via Giro) should I receive their bill. Here comes the best part - I've checked with Singtel this afternoon and there is no record of any pending bills. VERY GOOD!! Both Opennet and Singtel did not bill me for the relocation while the external accounting firm had only Opennet's work order that a relocation has been done. There is no invoice to be found and she expected me to pay based on what??? her email??? Singtel staff mentioned that they did not receive any instruction/work done from Opennet to bill me while Opennet thought that Singtel will bill me automatically on their behalf. I'll wait for Singtel's Sept bill and see if it is included. If not, then I'll be good and call Opennet to check at their end.
heim 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2012 I think he got both of us mixed up liao leh! He put my shower bar for the instant heater so high up that I would need to tip toe a little when it is at its highest pt. I've "inherited" a portable black and white TV cum radio (9" X 9" X 9") which is older than me. Every year I'll bring it out of store and test the picture and sound. Still working I'll display it in the entertainment room as a conversation piece LOL the plumber sucks. "blur blur" mine they mixed up the hot and cold point @@

LLChing 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2012 Can share plumbers name? Same blur oneDon't know their name leh. One 40+ and the other is an old man. Only know they stay in Jurong. Had already told Andrew our dissatisfaction with their workmanship. Don't know why still use them .. maybe because his heart too soft or their rates are so extremely low that he can't resists.Anyway, stayed 2 mths liao and as instructed by ID, had waited for "whatever cracks to appear, any leakage due to excessive use, loose screws etc" before calling Ah B, the assistant to rectify all at one shot. So, arrangement has been made for the plumber to come over to look at my leaking kitchen basin and loosened toilet bowl cover. Don't know where the screws are to tighten the cover

LLChing 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2012 Thanks May Talking about the marble floor, I am still trying to mop away the "sticky, waxy" feeling. It felt "static", if you know what I mean. My cousin assured me that another 2 more mths of mopping with water (no detergent)will ensure a smooth floor
