how much for the rainbow? must be very pricey right?

It is pricey, but trust me, if you have kids, saw the demo (especially on the bed). U will get it (if financially can lar. For me I opt for 24mths interest free installment), not so siong.

Can't remember if 8 or 10 yrs motor warranty. So won't worry so much.

You can't imagine how much dust it can really suck out from the mattress. After I purchase mine, immediately go clean all mattress in the house (5 of them) + all the pillows, soft toys etc etc etc. Over weekend, bring over to my parents place, did theirs. $$$$ well spend.

I do agree that it is pricey but mine is still in original box.

Planning to use it after we shift to our new home. (Also using 24 months installment interest free)

Cool ; )

For new house, will be super good easy, just wet the floor with water (maybe add very little bit of cleaning solution), keep the vacc container empty, just use the brush & rubber head, brush & suck dry. Done (Vacc + washing at 1 go). ; ) :sport-smiley-004: :sport-smiley-004:

After that double up as air-freshener, good especially new carpentry work normally have a smell that is not so healthy :sport-smiley-004: :sport-smiley-004:

Hi akkywendy,

They don't sell in shops, only via their direct salesman. If you interested, I can hook you up to the lady who did the demo at my place. (BTW I'm not the salesman har)

AS for parquet, I think should be ok ba. Cause it comes with many accessories (including cleaning aircon unit, wash floor).

Will be meeting contractor tomorrow to discuss on the itemization.

Seriously overshoot our budget by $10k+. Probably need to do less and live with it.

We wanted to hack part of our MBR wall that will link to our WIW. But this will cost $300 to hack 7ft L full height and another $650 to cover the empty door space instead of covering up.

Cost like installing kitchen sink for $100 & 2 sets of bidet spray & bathroom accessories for $120... Should be able to get all these FOC by contractor, right?

Brick wall will cost $1,800 since cannot do screed cement wall.

All $$$$... Sigh!

Actually you can also look at what are those items you can break up to do in the future.

i.e. for the bathroom, since its already done, might as well save up on them and do after say 3 years (by then will have the budget to do sui sui liao). Also for toilet, if doing, just keep the toilet door close, minimize the dust coming outside.

All the best :thumbs up: :thumbs up:

Its new HDB so toilet should be done up already. Why don't wait till 5 years later, then only do the toilets nicely like what battle said. You cannot hack the toilet tiles at the moment, only can overlay. so might as well dont do it yet until 5 years later. Then you can hack the tiles, replace to whatever you like.

I don't think contractor will install bidet spray & bathroom accessories for free... unless they earn quite a bit from your reno the they might do it FOC. Since you are not doing a lot then their profit is not much, then difficult for them to do it free for you.

Thanks for the advice, battle & May_dream1, still trying to cut down on the reno cost by eliminating WANTS vs NEEDS. Hope to get all these sorted out by this week before embarking on the actual renovation.

P/E endorsement will cost about $400...

Can change my T-blog to }[ No Money Still Wanna Do Reno ]{ Part 2

your brick wall cheap already... mine costs $3k+ what's the length?

Mine will be the whole living room about 5-6m long.

It will be done by plastering, cheaper way of creating the brick effect

...

ID is suggesting a white granite top but we are still apprehensive and worried that it will turn yellowish after a few years down the road.

Any suggestion coz we want to have easy maintenance?

...

I want to suggest you to use Quartz for your kitchen cabinet solid top, either SilesStone or CaesarStone but worry it might overshot your budget. Very easy maintenance, dont stain, put hot pot directly on surface also not scare to melting or burn mark and is scratch proof too.

Using Quartz??? Need to google for the 2 recommendation of SilesStone and CaesarStone. ID is quite insistent in wanting us to use white granite top to complement the overall semi industrial theme.

Decided to hack the wall between Master bedroom and adjacent room for a WIW but will not removing the door just to save a few bucks. Otherwise, it will cost about $1k to remove and replace it with a plastic panel to allow more light into the "corridor"
