More updates....

Dining area mirror + backsplash for kitchen area is up as well

Full length mirror

Three pieces of the mirror :dancingqueen: :dancingqueen:

p1040419ke.jpg

Backsplash - We were advised to use the more sturdy material since the price difference is less than $50

p1040420n.jpg

Pending for electrical socket to be fixed up. That explains why the bunch of wires is left hanging. Need the carpenter to fix the LED area coz there is no laminates protecting the area, just the raw wood being exposed :curse: :curse:

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

ID went back to check the house and to discuss on the remaining work to be done.

He pointed out that the full length mirror at the top joint, there is some black colour mark. :furious:

Will be meeting up the sub con to settle this. Hopefully, can replace the whole mirror panel.

Luckily have not settle the payment yet, still got negotiation power.

Sub con came to check the mirror & was advised that the "wet" cement has interacted with the morror to produce the black unsightly patches. He has already pasted a protective layer behind the miror but the joint part was without the protection laye, resulting in the black patches.

He already settled the new mirror at my living room today. Contractor also came up to my house settle the rest of the renovation, mainly my lightings and toilets accessories to be fixed up this Wed. :sport-smiley-004:

Pending for my furniture to be in by end of the month. :yamseng:

I managed to get a table lamp at Paragon but didn't manage to get a standing lamp coz the shipping is really quite expensive. You can go to Hawaii Five-O at 34 Ekamai 21, Sukhumvit Road or Asiatique

It is like a night market aka Suan Lum

Hope you find some treasure in BKK

Hi eekenji, Thanks for dropping by...

Many of the T-bloggers are using subway tiles for their kitchen backsplash as well.

Recently, I saw those 3D types of subway tiles that "pop out" and even has black colour!

How much did u pay for the 3 full length mirror?

Hi Nexer,

It is from a relative recommendation and was quoted less than $1k.

Hi How much did you pay for ur full height mirror? I am planning a feature mirrorbwall too but was advised to frame it up...

Btw, I love subway tiles too!

Hi orangecrab, Thanks for dropping by and liking the subway tiles :yamseng:

I am not sure where to get those 3D subway tiles. I happened to see them at a couple of location and really make me drool. Anyway, my tiles are already up before I chanced on the 3D subway tiles. The tiles are from Hafary coz I saw the invoice from a small box of leftover tiles in the bomb shelter.

There are bigger and larger subway tiles. Perhaps it will be nicer unless the tiler is really good. Mine is only so-so, some of the tiles are slightly chipped off after the tiler cut them.

Kitchen sink & tap is up. Nothing fanciful compared to some of the T-bloggers

p1040422k.jpg

Gas heater piping is up. Pretty satisfied as the plumber managed to conceal the pipes compared

to the initial discussion with my contractor. She informed that the pipes will run like MRT track from common toilet to Master bedroom toilet

Keeping it simple, white and clean. Sink is quite similar except the master bedroom sink is much bigger. ID wanted to fix 2 taps. Taking into the cost of the tap, it is a cheaper option to install 1 tap

My plumber informed that the Grohe rainshower set is too long :furious:

Why didn't I check before buying it during the sale? He is advising me to place it on left the side of the shower faucet instead in the middle due to space constraint. They are unable to shift the pipes coz they are concealed behind the walls, otherwise will go with thw option to lower the faucet in order to place the trainshower set in the centralised position. Sigh!

For those of you doing reno, remember to check before buying rain shower.

Lesson learnt!
