Especially so if you're the boss. Why am I paying if I'm doing your job? Seriously..

Seriously..If you put it this way, then who suffer? Most boss are too busy or cant be bothered, then miscommunication occurred, delay happened again and again. Bear in mind you are engaging a contractor, not ID; you are suppose to do the ID job, coordinating with all parties to ensure smooth progress.EDITED TO ADD: my reno is different, my best friend whose is a architect builder do the job of ID and all coordinatiing works for me with all his various group of workers (tiler, plaster, builder, painter, cleaner, hacking crew, carpenter, plumber and electrician) to deliver my place in 5 weeks with no delay, from complete tear down and rebuild. Consumers pay to outsource tasks that cannot be done by themselves. ID or otherwise, you accepted the job the responsibility is yours especially when you choose to push back the delivery. If I run the job myself then it's incredibly stupid to hire the main con in the first place. You want to earn your fair share, you do your fair share. You screw up, I hold you responsible. Either way it's not my company to run. how the heck i know when he got resources to put at my place. This is plain silly assumption.

Not asking you to know when he has resources to continue to work on your place, just remind him will do. I am trying to share with you how to manage your reno to ensure smooth progress, why you say this is stupid assumption? Because it is really stupid when my wife is due and my priorities MUST be with my kid. Hindsight always have 20/20 vision but it's useless already. marble 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2012 Hi,New here and just wondering why is there a need for so many ethernet points? Thanks!Erm.. might be a geek thing but here's a non-exhaustive list of reasons why I did it.1) Do now so all can be concealed and neater2) Wifi can get congested i.e. you transfer large amount of data can affect other users.3) For wifi to cover the WHOLE house you need to have high transmission power, btw FYI, wifi runs on 2.4GHz which is the same as your microwave.. Which means, if the output is high enough the antenna can cook. I dont really want to cook anything nor risk anything to be cooked. Studies can say whatever but if my microwave can cook my wifi can too. Remember a small tealight candle can keep food warm too.4) Ethernet has higher speed, up to 10-100 times faster than wifi anytime. 5) Common set-top box by MDA/IDA/Whatever A. More likely than not your future set-top boxes gonna look like what MIO has to offer. If you want paid tv in your room you need ethernet.
