marble 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 The contractor is not helping by NOT sending workers to my place today... Carpentry is on going since last Wednesday. Which he said 4-5 days. Tmr is the 4-5 days. Dunno how he gonna pull out the miracle since only the kitchen frame is installed. Bloody pissed. Doesn't seem to be taking I need the freaking house now seriously. In the meantime, you can start asking them to clean up the house already.Although their carcass is done, there are still hardware parts like the whole Blum/Hettich drawers (mind you these are not just drawer tracks), soft closing hinges, lift-up systems, not sure if they opt for servo-drive mechanism and they are fitting with CaesarStone 1141 quartz counter top. It further depend on the design of the whole cabinet, must calculate precisely the thickness of doors against the whole ABS'ed or solid-core cabinet frame.The way you described, is usually for cheap kitchen cabinet, those just build the carcass, install the wooden drawers fitted with Blum drawer tracks, and slam the doors onto it and cover the top with acrylic/acrylic mixed solid top.
