One word: Gorgeous!

Can these tiles be washed as with other kitchen tiles?

They use it to surround outdoor swimming pools. So i think you can basically throw almost anything at the tiles..

Day #10

Of all the heart attacks my contractor provide, today was one that I cannot accept..

He wanted to undermount and flush my beautiful blanco sink.. :furious:

when I specifically want to TOP MOUNT.. I know it will be impossible for me to change to undermount on a later date.. but at least I can change sink right?!?!?! OMG!

*chases the contractor around and 8| 8| 8| 8| 8| *

Hihi.. this is my first time dropping by your blog. I'm just wondering isn't under-mount more hygienic? But I do agree that the blanco sink looks better if it is top-mount.

Love your kitchen floor tile and also the 3D subway tile. Lovely combination! What color do you plan to use for your kitchen cabinet laminate?

There is a very bad thing about Blanco sink, if you cook often, after a few months, there will be sticky residue on the side wall that cannot be easily clean off, if under-mount, there is simply no way to change the sink. Doing top-mount you can still change the sink to something stainless steel of similar size.

Undermount sink will have gap btwn ur counter top and sink where water can seep in and mould will grow. Unless you cement ur sink in... Flush with ur counter top den water seepage problem might be solved.

However mould STILL can grow over time in any gaps u have. Then, if u are very concern about hygiene won't you want to be able to change your sink?? ^^ then if it's cemented in or under mounted, how to change? Break up the entire sink area?

If I don't like the blanco sink, my lost is only 555 (price of the sink n tap). Not the entire area.

I hope this explanation helps. ^^

Your kitchen tiles r very nice. R they high end tiles. My ID only allowed me to choose tiles within a certain budget if not have to top up.

Day #11's progress

Progress this week is really slow. Suspect the contractor didn't order sufficient tiles and they only arrived yesterday. MBR toilet tiles are finally going to be up. My 3D subway tiles as backsplash is looking even better.. Can't wait to see my kitchen in its full glory.

More works will be done today.. Stairs iron wrought banister will be changed, windows will be coming in.. Hopefully things are still on time.

colgate stains also very difficult to remove.....you can almost try to use colgate to re-color your black blanco.
