Hiya!! Hee can I check with you on e procedure of ur purchasing of the new flat? Did you sell your existing flat and purchase another flat before your MOP is up? Meaning as long as the OTP aka first appt is after your MOP date it's fine?

Bcos for my case, my MOP is on 1 Jun n i posted my qs on propertyguru.. those agents actually say to advertise after e MOP.. So I'm abit blur.. Hahaha.. My plan is to apply HLE, valuation in early/mid May n start sourcing plus selling my unit ard mid may..

That need to wait for HLE to exercise the OTP before we can ask HDB i guess. My MOP 2 more days!

You need HLE before you can exercise any OTP to buy house. But to get HLE you need clear MOP. Thou if a bit earlier and you plea HDB they can be nice and give you your HLE just after your MOP. Thats for buying..

For selling, you need meet MOP if not OTP also not valid... so if someone offers you there is no recourse for the buyer until MOP and you both sign the OTP. But no issue marketing your house before MOP and find a buyer. Valuation also no issue before MOP but too early scared expire before selling then have to do again.

This is so nice, where U got it from ? I'm eyeing on some woody furniture from scanteck (they having promo till think May or June, also the holding period is 6 months, so will go down place deposit after my 1st appt ; p )

.

Oh btw, best to use wood stuff, avoid Stainless steel or alloy stuff. It just corrode/rust within months.

I'm currently staying in Bedok South Ave 2, moving to Ave 3, the sea breeze really can cause your metal stuff go rusty really fast.

This one is really cute, kids size, i alone can take up more than half the seating space.. lol!! but it's sturdy because it's solid wood. teak IIRC.

We got it from leyon at upper east coast road? near udders ice creme there(then u see porns then some italian rest and next building is leyon). They either import or make wood furniture themselves. If you got time they can stain it darker or white wash if for you if you like..

Generally we like earth tones as it gives a more nice natural feel to the place. =)

I decided to go with Blanco sinks this time round.. Our first visit to Hoe Kee (IMM) was really a so-so experience. The sales people were trailing us constantly, when you say you are only browsing, they would just walk off and not give you any attention. So we decided to try the other Hoe Kee we went to 5 yrs ago at Genting Road, we even saw the same old uncle who served us then! When I saw this sink, I was hooked and the price was cheaper than the Franke sink combos I saw at Royal Franco.

CLOSE UP SHOT!!! Hopefully I will not regret this Granite sink.

Hey, just an experience to share on the granite sink.

Don't ever pour or drip hot oil onto it, it will stain, especially dark color. (this happen to my mum's sink).

What happen is that after you cook a dish, you might want to discard the oil & use the same pan for the next dish, that's where you will just pour the little bit of a spoonful of hot oil onto the sink, than what happen is it turn a little white (kind of color run like that). I quickly turn on the tap, but too late, damage done. Permanent. sad....... there goes my mum's sink.

But got to say, Granite sink looks really nice. But from that experience, I scared liao, cause my cooking habit is just pour into sink when not needed.... old habits dies hard..... :bangwall: :bangwall: :jawdrop: :jawdrop:

I m using granite sink too, light colour somemore.... For dirty stains, I use the "magic sponge" to remove them.... Really effective. The sink is still as new as it was before. 

i've never pour hot oil into the sink! XD think of your poor pipes!!! and the pollution.

i always discard oil only when its cooled and that's into the bin bagged in plastic bag.. as for the one spoon of oil scenarios, i will just use kitchen towels to soak up den reuse the pot/wok/pan.

i think it boils down to cooking habits. i forbid my helper to do that too.. XD

on another another side note... its easier with an airfryer to cook oily food!
